Not really, we have one person lead Team Codex every year and they pick the team, then everybody else gets behind it.

This might be my first year here, but I feel like its a vote between members? I might be wrong, but that is what I got out of this thread so far.

Just putting it out there (and this is not meant to be negatively directed at you at all, in fact I'm elated that you brought it up now since many people are indeed thinking that question), a vote between members is a horrible idea.

The top reason is that a vote of members would cause a huge rift. Think about it. If a poll was made and the winner will be /the/ team codex, people will be passionately and fervently advocate their preference. On the other side of the coin, people will be passionately and fervently trashing other worlds that aren't on their favorite list. As a result there will be many unnecessarily butthurt and spiteful players from intense debates and namecalling IN THE SAME TEAM and WAY BEFORE THE CUP EVEN STARTED. Even before the first game, many players would recede from the team because of hurt feelings and not wanting to deal with the same people who crossed them.

It's a shame that this is exactly happened to another cheating forum. Shame to say that it's unfortunate that they do not have the same solid foresight and strategic planning that Codex has.

Does the AC usually start the same day you can pick a team? If so, are the dates set now that the timeline for when a team can be picked has been put up in Neopets as the 22nd? 

 

Just curious, because the OP still says that the timeline for access can change depending on when the AC start is announced.

Last year the AC Sign-Ups opened on May 22nd and the cup actually started on June 2nd!

I changed the dates to 1 less day, because this time the sign-ups start on May 21st and the cup starts on June 1st.

Me too, but I have a feeling they implemented some changes in the system. 

I don´t  know , I think jumpstart had not enough time for big changes. I believe it will be the same system

It's maybe not really likely but there are other employees now, so that's why I think it'll be different. They can't just let us easily win another year?

If there's no change they probably do not care at all anymore.

I'm disappointed with Jump. Sometimes it seems the only concern is with the Ghoul Catchers.

If they make neo back to how it was in the glory days it would make quite more money as more people would return back to the site.
