But drinking too much and flirting with people are the best parts of every wedding!
That's what I keep saying to those idiotic people who thinks receptions are for celebrating a "couple's holy union".

I know I'm going to be in my friend's wedding when she gets married in a few years. That's all the hope I have at the moment.

Booze makes everything more interesting.
Truth. I haven't been drunk in awhile. I heard I am a dick. I guess going up to girls and saying "I am going to f*ck you tonight" actually works.
Dominance is key.

Says the person who eats poopy coloured food.
I had the luck to find someone who's as batshit crazy as me.
Same! I didn't think I'd get married, honestly. It was sort of an accident.

You sound like you'd be a lot of fun at a wedding. At the last reception I went to in order to get the bride and groom to kiss you had to go up, introduce yourself a take a shot. My kind of reception.

Exactly. I usually just roll with it and make jokes about it. Like when we're drinking and I pull out my card for a round of drinks I usually shout "This one's on my husband!" lol
Try to find a sex worker, those girls make so much money :0
People are just jealous. Even if you WERE a golddigger, if everyone's happy with the arrangement who can complain? People need to keep their noses in their own bedrooms and out of everyone else's.

Sounds like a Vegas marriage haha

All my high school friends moved far away and I fell out of touch so I didn't even get wedding invites.
The last wedding I went to was my dad's to his last wife, and I was like .. 12 years old and the flower girl.

Oh lord. Ahahah. That's how I got my man to love my body for the first time. He was trying to play hard but I have my attributes. LOL
Best drunk moment of my life.

Haha. I guess I am legendary among people because I did it infront of a bunch of people. Yay crowded bars! I still get high fives for that one.

Religious marriage it's a facade.A man giving away a woman to another man, and the exchange of the rings like it's supposed to be a "romantic" gesture. The hell with that. I'm nobody's anything to be given away or to be leashed by someone. I'M A FREE PERSON.
And the wedding dress? Don't even make me start talking about how ridiculous that is lol
He asked me because he loved me and it's something you seem to do culturally. We actually got married because in the military everything is easier when married and impossible when not. We rented a beach house, held a BBQ, and the whole wedding cost $1000. $500 was the beach house, he wore his dress uniform, my dress was a gauzy peasant dress of fthe discount rack with my employee discount afterwards. Then camping in the Smokies for a honeymoon. My friend spent over a grand just on her dress. No says I.
If cats ate my basil I would be devastated.
I spent a year in Bellingham and a local icecream parlor called Mallards. there took basil to a whole nother level. It sounds strange, but I swear it's my favorite icecream in the whole world. They grew their own basil so basil icecream was super limited. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Second favorite icecream flavor would be black licorice.... admittedly I think that one completely discredits my tastes. 3rd favorite would have to be mint chocolate chip.
I want to try all these things. Whaaaaat black licorice? My favorite candy, as an ice cream, WHY IS THIS NOT HERE???

You live in Northern BC? What's it like there? As an Ontarian I've always wanted to visit the West Coast.
@sprockets lots of wildlife. Where I am especially, bears have a very tight aggro range because they are living in such close proximity to us and eachother. Fraser Valley (Vancouver and surrounding areas) have the best people imo. I miss it there. I'm currently 13 hours north in what is called the Peace Region. I've lived all over BC
Lots to do if you like the outdoors. My town just got global geopark status last summer. I recommend living out of town, so you get views like this
^ thats not my pic. it's Bella Coola Valley, very rich soil. Giant cedar trees, Mountains on all sides, glacier fed falls and rivers. so many fruit trees, mostly apples and cherries, and everything we grew thrived there. We even had watermellons. Not very fast internet though. lol If I could be anywhere in the world it would be to go back there and buy a plot of land.

We completely forgot to get a regular face on photo, so there's a version of this somewhere were I edited the houses out and replaced them with more beach grass, but I can't find it right now. HA
