Ok but you talking about how untrustworthy Clinton is but then saying you'd rather vote for Trump negates your entire argument considering the fact that Trump proudly tells bald faced lies.

It would only negate the part about trustworthiness, not the rest of what I said.  Honestly, I use voting for Trump as an example of just how much I can't stand her. I'd rather vote for a man like Trump, who has no idea what he's doing, is annoying and will probably screw the US even more than it is now, than vote for Clinton.

Please do not take this harshly, but that seems rather.. childish? You'd be voting Trump just to spite the Democratic party if you don't get the nominee you want. As much as I dislike Clinton, I would never vote Trump just because I dislike her. Our country is already in the shitter. Electing a lying, manipulative, racist, sexist and homophobic twerp who whines whenever someone takes his candy away, and has openly admitted to being sexually attracted to his own off-spring, does not sound like a good way to spite the Democratic party. It's counterproductive and pointless.

Vote for him, or don't. That's irrelevant to me. But your reason to do so should be better than your distaste for Clinton.

On the subject of Scalia, I hope Obama can get a liberal in before his term ends. That would be a great legacy. I'm sick of my rights as a woman (ie. abortion) being chipped away by what was primarily a Republican/fundamentalist Supreme Court.

I just have one thing to say about the election: don't fall for the female president trap. I know very well what that can do e.e

I was watching a video one of these days where this old lady (former secretary of state iirc) said that women who don't help each other have a special place in hell (talking about not voting for Clinton). Great argument.

Clinton is a lying sack of shit that puts her own personal agenda over the well-being of our people. I suppose that could be said about a lot of presidents, but in combination of her shittyness her policies on foreign relations are also very questionable. We're really in the crap shoot with this election. This may be the first election I ever vote in because I sure as hell don't want that fucktard Trump to win, and I will never vote for Hillary. FEEL THE BERN. If it's between the two...I don't know who I'd vote for.

Sort of off topic, but has anyone watched "The Circus" on Showtime? It follows candidates on the campaign trail and really gives you an in depth look at their daily routines. I've only watched the first two episodes, and they were really heavy on Trump, Bernie, Rubio, Cruz, Bush, and Kasich. There was a splash of Chris Christie thrown in, but very little Carson or Clinton at this point. There are 5 episodes out at the moment, and they're only 30 minutes long.

Huh, I haven't heard of it. I'll check it out. Do you think it's heavily produced/edited with bias against/for certain candidates? Like is it more like reality TV versus a documentary?

@Coops Not at all. I mean I will be straightforward, I am as conservative as they come, and each candidate is pretty accurately represented. The bulk of the content is straight from the rallies/events, with narration thrown in every now and then by two or three political experts. I still haven't watched any more than the first two, so I don't know if other candidates end up getting equal air time, but thus far it's been intertwined really well.

For instance, they show one clip of Trump calling Bernie "crazy" and then later on in the documentary when they talk to Bernie, they mention Trump's comments. One clip has the narrator eating dinner with Jeb Bush, and then later on he's eating dinner with Bernie, so it appears to be a true documentary with no intent to persuade.

My first pick is, of course, Bernie. Not sure if he'll win nominee though. Clinton lacks the truthfulness we need in a nominee, but she is far better than Trump. With Trump as president, he'll drive the country to it's end. At least with Hillary, it won't die AS quick.

Not American, but I would vote for Bernie Sanders if he can secure the nomination. I especially like that he's an underdog figure in American politics by serving as a long-time Representative and Senator as an Independent, and that his fundraising effort consists of a ton of small donations from ordinary people.

Oh, and the results of the quiz:

Trump is a sack of shit.

    Bernie is my king.

Hillary is... the lesser of all evils if Bernie loses the nomination to her, which is saying something considering she flip flops, has endorsed a lot of shady shit, has been really insecure with data and you know... pretty much everything she does.

Clinton broke the law and has been a proven liar multiple times during this campaign, and is only endorsed by WallStreet and large corporations.

Trump is definitely the lesser of two evils ( unless you're Muslim)

I do. If the party can't stand behind their nominee, there isn't any reason to believe that America will either. Of course I could be completely wrong, but if he secures the delegates, I think he will not only win the nomination, but the presidency as well.

I...actually agree with this. Barring a scenario where everyone in the US unites against Trump or so. Even so, he has had quite a bit of experience with people coming against him right now, and it doesn't seem to have hindered him so far. Based on his media manipulation and public influencing skills, even with how polarising he obviously is, I would actually give Trump a better chance than his opponent in a head-to-head clash with Clinton.

Dammit Nevada, what is wrong with you??? The problem is Cruz and Rubio are pretty much tied right now, so neither will drop, but if neither drops, trump will keep winning.

Sanders is my first choice as well, but I refuse to take Hillary as a consolation prize. The US needs a female president, yes, but she isn't it. She is not the female president the US needs. As I said on my twitter, I'd rather vote for Trump than vote for her. She flip flops constantly, she's basically under the control of wall street because they finance her campaign, she does paid speeches (so she'll do speeches for money even if she doesn't believe what she's saying), she sent top secret things through a private email server, which shows she can't be trusted, she hasn't decried those two women who said that all women have to vote for her because we all have vaginas otherwise we're going to hell (you think with her being a "feminist" she'd say something about that..).....that's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there's more.

In '08, she started as the frontrunner, but lost to Obama. Hopefully that happens again. Except this time she loses to Bernie.

I don't think we NEED a female president. We need a trustworthy and effective president. The gender of the president shouldn't matter, we don't need the president to be either gender more than the other.

The US, since we sort of are terrible with gender equality, needs a woman in the highest leadership position in the land to help us, in my opinion. However, hillary is not that woman. Topics like abortion, equal pay, rape...ect have all been decided on by mostly men pretty much this entire time. Women need a better say in things dealing with our gender, and having a female president would help with that. Defunding Planned Parenthood bills if they got passed the congress would be vetoed, as some men (not all men, just some) would actually sign that bill on their Presidental desk. To me, women are much less likely to sign something like that. Equal pay, having a female president would help us fight better and harder. When you have people in very high positions backing you, you tend to do better with what you're trying to achieve. While male presidents have backed equal pay and abortion rights before, nothing has really been done about it. The congress constantly tries to outlaw abortion still (it's not a guaranteed you can control your own body thing), they keep vetoing the equal rights amendment, the recent paycheck fairness act was blocked by every single republican in congress. Congress is made of mostly men. Our government has mainly men in it's highest positions, who sometimes I imagine have trouble seeing what women go through. Having a woman in the highest position in all the US would be a great boon to women's rights across the nation, which we need to improve on.

However, the first thing you vote on shouldn't be gender. Like, sadly, how a ton of women will vote for Hillary because she's a woman and we need a female president. Those two horrid women who said all women have to vote for Hillary because we all have vagians, and if we don't we're going to hell, and we're only with Bernie to get guys, believe that. They vote based on gender first, issues second.

Also, to clarify here, I'm not a man hating person at all. I am a feminist, but not the type of feminist that thinks all men should be locked in cages (which really isn't feminist at all).

If you think that, I don't think you have a clear understanding of how much prejudice and discrimination still exists towards women in this country. We are leaps and bounds ahead of a lot of countries, and yet still behind some in the EU on topics such as maternity/paternity leave, rape, sexual education, sex positivity, breast-feeding, adverse impact on women in certain jobs (namely leadership positions), the draft (which needs to include women or just be done away with period), domestic violence against men and women, implicit prejudice against men and women in the courtroom, etc. Admittedly, a female president isn't going to fix everything in a flash. This is something that takes time.

Every single president has been male. Almost all have been white. Almost all have been some sect of Christianity. Half of the US population is women. Why is it so hard to believe that we should have a female president when we make up half of the US population?

I agree the gender shouldn't matter. But it does. We are not a gender blind society, as much as I wish we were. People are biased, whether they like it or not and until the world has achieved gender transcendence, it is going to continue to matter.

Sadly, women do vote against women. Mainly it's women from the fundamentalist/right side of things. Women can definitely be prejudiced and discriminatory towards their own gender. Just look at any abortion article and watch the women slut-shame the hell out of any woman who gets an abortion (regardless of the reason for said abortion).

Oh I know that. Just look at some of the female republican congress people. Every republican blocked the paycheck fairness act, and that included the women republicans. I guess I should have specified a democratic party female president. The democratic party's values line up with what I said. The republican party's...don't really...Basically, we need a female president, but a democratic one. I don't want someone like Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman to become our first female president. That would not be good.

I agree with both of you that these are serious issues that need to be taken of, without a doubt. I wasn't trying to discredit women or undermine any of the causes you mentioned. I was just saying that we need a president who can deal with these issues effectively. This person could be a male, though its more unlikely. We do need diversity in our presidency, I agree that is something that would be a welcomes change. I don't think Hillary Clinton is that person though, as you have stated.

Oh yeah. I absolutely agree. Gender does not equate ability in any way. But it would be nice to be represented for once in arguably the highest political office. And I definitely agree.. Hillary Clinton is not the one to lead us. Unfortunately I think she may be our first female president, or at least the democratic nominee. :c

I can definitely understand that, women should be represented in the Presidency, we could really use someone other than a white male I think. It would also be a huge win for gender equality for a woman to win, as you said, one of the highest, if not the highest, political offices.
