Hey erryone.

So I'm moving out and I'm taking my PS3 with me. My family uses my PS3 as a blu-ray player and to watch Netflix and I want to replace my PS3 with something similar so I don't completely put them out.

Basically: what are my options. It can be two separate things (such as a stand-alone blu-ray and then another option for netflix) or maybe buy another PS3 and just give it to them. Just looking for any advice since the little research I've done hasn't been super fruitful (i.e. they mostly say to buy a PS3)

Thanks, Bogs

    Just buy another PS3.

Buying a standalone blu-ray player is worse than buying a smartphone with a contract. Even blu-ray drives for PC requires paying for 3rd party software to make watching blu-ray movies less of a hassle. Just spare yourself (or your family) from the pain and get another PS3 or drop blu-ray completely.

I have a blue-ray player that has netflix included (among a few other programs like pandora and youtube) and it's all wireless (minus plugging into the tv and power outlet).

I think you can get one at wal-mart for like $60 or less.

    Chromecast

Woops didn't read the part about blurays for some reason.

Either another ps3, or a combo bluray-netflix player.

Orrr just tell them to upgrade to a smart tv that has it all included.
