Inspired by yesterday's Neopets-related topic on wishes. What are some things you wish to happen one day, in the real world? However unrealistic it may be? Want to walk on the moon? Want to own a castle? Dreamt of being a car mechanic? Big or small, what are your wishes?

 

One of my lingering dreams is to buy a small chateau (castle-ish) in France that's falling apart and renovate it to become my dream home. There's something about the renovation part that's appealing to me. I might even love to have it as a 'job'; buy for cheap, renovate and then sell for profit. Ah man, I wish that would actually be fruitful.

Very much this. I'd substitute the coffee shop for maybe a bakery, or a chocolate place thing. I want to be my own boss, and do something that makes me hungry and fat.
By the way, this goal is totally inspired by one of my favorite movies called Chocolat, look it up on IMDB if you haven't seen it. The movie is pretty good for stay at home date nights with the SO -- not like I know anything about date nights of course.

Lol, Chocolat is the best movie (and book, *swoon*) there is! And my chateau-wish is very much inspired by that as well (and, well, holidays from my childhood in France)

I want to build my own house with window ceiling in the bedroom and everything. I like to stay at home so I want it to be as comfy as possible.

Not having to work for a living sounds nice as well I can find many things to stay productive even if I wasn't paid. Maybe one day I'll have the brilliant idea for a start up, work on it for a few years, sell it to Google and then do whatever the hell I want for the rest of my life. xD

Racism to not exist.

LGBT to be accepted 100% and to be considered normal

One international universal currency

Higher taxes for the extremely wealthy

Free healthcare

For me:

To trust enough to love

To take a year off and travel the world

To win the lottery - I don't want my parents to have to work another day in their lives

This is hard, I can't think of things on the spot.

@Athayde Thank you! He is pretty entertaining, but really just sits around sleeping all day. How can anyone not like snakes? They just adorable squishy tubes.

Snake's skin it's really nice to the touch, I like it a lot. I know a guy that has two big ones (+5 meters), I visit him from time to time just to touch them, it's damn cool lol. And they like me, which is always a bonus. Next time I'll try to remember to take a pic to post here somewhere

1. Be a successful Neurologist (or some career in the medical field)

2. Have a nice house. Not a huge mansion, but still sort of large. Like one of those nice houses in a wealthy community. 

3. Have a large amount of money in the bank. Not in the tens of millions, but large enough for a very comfortable lifestyle. 

4. Get married and have a nerd wedding. Like entering under an arch made by the bridesmaids of Harry Potter wands. 

5. Invent something. Would love to invent a machine that tells if someone was using their turn signals when they crashed. That way if they weren't, it's no longer the person in backs fault for the crash. You are supposed to use your turn signals when changing lanes. You crash, your fault if you didn't signal. 

6. Have the Cake Boss make me a cake. 

 

And that concludes my list of big wishes that I may be able to make come true. I have other big wishes but pretty much have no chance with those. I'm sure you can guess which wishes those would be.

This is hard. I'm sure I could selflessly wish for LGBT acceptance or gender transcendence or whatever. 
But I want to be selfish.


Not to live in chronic pain anymore.
Not to be a 22 year old in a body that is failing like it's been around for 100 years. 
Be able to rescue and rehome cats.

Have a kid with my husband, maybe, someday without the risk of dying.
Finish school and get my degree just to rub it in my piece of shit dad's face (he always told me I would never amount to anything). 
Eat candy all the time and not get fat. xD

EDIT: Also, go back in time and meet Alan Watts.
