Who experiments with various hallucinogens? I used to do a couple back in college but never did anything serious/crazy. Last night my best friend for a large majority of my life flew back to visit me and brought his girlfriend. The three of us have been friends and have all done a lot of crazy shit together usually involving me being the bad influence. It's not that I pressure anyone to do anything or guilt trip them. It's just that I'm an enabler. You want to drink all night? Sure, I got you. You want to smoke til you pass out? Let me know. I stopped doing all the craziness after I got out of college but I still drink and have a lot of fun. Anyways, back to last night. We go out, eat, drink, meet up with my other friends, take over a local bar, and have a blast. The night ends and the three of us decide to go back to my house while my other friends head home. So we get to my house and they bring up the time we all smoked Salvia (it's legal here) and we joke about it. Oddly enough, I had just bought some maybe 3 months ago out of boredom. Prior to last night we had only ever smoked 20x strength. This time I had 80x. I dig up the salvia and related paraphernalia and proceed to get everything ready. My friends girlfriend, Nicole, goes first. After 2 or three big hits, shes incapacitated. Literally rolling on my couch laughing, babbling incoherently, not making any sense, even a little bit of drooling. She says something about throwing up so I grab a bowl and hand it to her. She stares into the center of the bowl for a solid 2 minutes completely quiet and not moving. At this point she comes down from the first wave (salvia usually hits in 3 or 4 waves) and tries to explain what she saw. Apparently, she thought she was traveling through "another realm consisted entirely of clouds." Nicole is talking about how she saw a different world, nobody was around here, the bowl was actually a gateway back to Earth and thats what brought her back. Highly amusing to watch. My best friend is next. It takes him a couple more hits but as soon as it hits, hes laughing and laughing staring at the ceiling. Not talking or moving, just laughing. He comes down and says that he felt like he was a rocket ship blasting through space but every level was just another level of my house. He also says it felt like gravity was hitting him really hard and he was pushed into my couch. Nicole hits again and goes off to another world this time involving me. She claims I was her escort and took her through a very insane world filled with clouds, water, couches, and weed. She made an attempt to spit at my friend but just drooled all over herself. I handed her a napkin and then she told me and her boyfriend to share it. Other things that I still havent fully remembered.

 

I didn't smoke due to me being the designated driver and it was 5 AM and I go to the gym at 9. Definitely one of the more colorful salvia trips I've ever seen. Last time I did it around 4 years ago, I just saw trees waving at my.

 

Anyone else have any experiences?

There was this one time I ate a sandwich with old ham (I didn't know it was expired). I got really sick and I couldn't stand up, because everything was spinning. That's the closest I've ever gotten.

My insomnia gives me enough hallucinations for one person to handle. Also, if I want to get high, all I have to do is lose myself in my imagination/mind. It's never pretty, but apparently not all trips are.

But like I've smoked weed once I mean I guess it isn't that bad.

Almost everyone does something stupid which is why it's fun to do it in a group of close friends haha. Weed is boring to me. It was fun back when I was in high school and college but now I do just that - get hungry and tired. It also makes it really hard for me to hold a conversation which I hate.

There's nothin' in the rules about this subject. Only category it could (at a stretch) fall under is adult material. But I don't think it's illegal for minors to talk about drugs, as long as no one tries to sell anything here lol.

I've never tried salvia, I've heard it's fun and it certainly appears to be.

I've done acid a couple times, and shrooms a couple times.

Last time I did it, I was at my buddy's house with about 9 guys and we all had some shroom tea. Being outside was amazing haha. I was seeing constellations in the pavement of his driveway, and we were seeing like faces in the bushes, and everything felt so good. I felt really connected to nature and spent a while looking up into space. And also laughed a lot.

I haven't really done much on acid, both times I did it I watched visually stimulating movies with my friend, and it was fun but next time I'd rather do something else.

Shrooms are way more fun than acid IMO. Salvias fun and a huge plus is being legal (at least here). Just pack a one hitter on a beach and let loose. I think its like $40-60 for a half gram for 80x and that half gram will get around 8 or so people tripping. Strengths range from 5x to 80x for the brand I buy but I've seen up to 120x on another brand. I put a large pinch for each hit. I think we might actually be picking up some shrooms soon so I'll be sure to document that as well!

 

Glad you enjoyed the story though haha. I'll be sure to post more once more comes back to me. It was definitely a very amusing night.

It's a fun little event. I've never heard of that. Might be fun depending on what it's actually composed of.

I was a psych major in college specializing in abnormal psych but took a few courses in human sexuality and substance abuse. Accessing parts of your brain and altering reality have always been really interesting to me. I've never done any of the hard drugs - heroin, crack, meth, pcp, etc - but the minor ones I experimented with to see what they do and get a first hand experience with them. Back then there was a drug that was just breaking into the US market. It was huge in England but never really took off over here. I know it was sold online as plant food and arrived as a white powder and consisted of a mix between MDMA and some sort of psychostimulant. It was cheap and effective. Only ever tried it once but I feel it would be huge in the EDM scene thats currently going on.

the only time i'm fairly sure i got close to hallucinating or actually hallucinating was every time i had weed edibles. we'd be chilling at the lake at night and there was a little bonfire nearby and suddenly it stood up and started walking around

 

and then there was this tiny little bald man sitting next to the bonfire and telling stories and i was convinced that he was a dwarf from some fantasy world wearing one of those djinn outfits

 

the next morning i woke up still feeling slightly high when genius me decided that having edibles for breakfast was a splendid idea. just as i was about to bite into my toast i felt how the high or whatever you call it hit me like a brick wall. the plants on my friend's balcony did this weird spirally thing and everything seemed so much closer

 

and then my last adventure with edibles was a fuck up. idk what was in that cake but i did not like it. i was a babbling sobbing heap of mess on the floor because i felt like i was going to die because i could feel the earth spinning so fast that with every round completed i'd be closer to death and i just kept going faster and faster. at one point i was certain that gravity had stopped working for me and that i'd fall off the earth and into space. had enough of that shit fairly quick so i went to bed and put on some music which didn't help at all because it sounded like the screams of demons so i freaked out again. at that point i was begging my friends to bring me into hospital to make it stop. it was like 3 in the morning and it was pitch blacked, the darkness looked like a living thing that wanted to grab me and drag me away

 

and because just weed has those effects on me i'm just staying away from any hallucinogens. not worth the risk of a bad trip for me because just that one times messed me up for almost two years. i envy people who see really neat things though. like so many colours, yes please

I've done Acid once (no visuals), Ambien a few times, and Salvia a few times.

Ambien hallucinations are weird. Ambien is weird. It's got a very weird feeling to it, and after I tripped on it I no longer wanted to take it for its intended purpose. I always woke up not feeling completely rested, and after I stayed up through it I think I saw why. Ambien just fucks your brain up into a sleep-like state, but I don't think it induces real sleep. Anyway, lots of visual wiggles, and lots of blending of internal imagery with external stimuli. Very weird, and it always makes me feel like I'm crooked and like whatever room I'm in is larger than it actually is.

Salvia is illegal here now but I did it a few times when it was legal like 7 years ago. My most memorable trip was a time I smoked with my (then) gf. She went first (since it was her first time, and I had smoked before) and all she did was laugh. When she came down she said that she was imagining what life tasted like. There is another part with this, but it's impossible to convey through text I think; it's an example of how life tastes, which doesn't make any sense. 

When I went, after I started laughing she asked me to describe what was happening, and I was weirdly able to. I was unable to speak properly every other time I did salvia, so that's weird. I looked down at my arm and my perspective kinda "zoomed" into the inside of my arm. Underneath the skin of my arm were thousands of elf/gnome things and each of them was holding a pole and together they were using the poles to hold my skin up like a tarp. I was one of these elf/gnome things, and this was apparently a privileged job because I had an "up" job, which was good. I then somehow experienced a "day in the life" of this creature that I now was, and because of my "up" job I was able to afford a very good house/apartment/living space and my roof was made out of flock of flying birds. The door to my house thing was yellow, and by leaving it open at different angles I was able to replicate different sensations like touch on a certain part of my body, or smell of somethine, or taste.

That's all I really remember about that trip, but after I came down, my she told me that what I was saying was "the most retarded shit she's ever heard" in a very serious, condescending tone which completely killed my happy buzz. I was still sorta in salvia land, and in that moment my mind told me that she was a manifestation that I made to challenge myself and find out what the limits of what I could tolerate are. For whatever reason, my car was not at her house and I was very offended by this, so I ordered her to drive me to a friend's, where I told them the same trip and they loved it and thought it was awesome. Later (or the next day) she wanted to talk, but I just wanted to break up with her haha. We ended up staying together, but I do regret not breaking up with her then, because that interaction was really a perfect example of the relationship that would follow.

Another notable time, I smoke some with my friend and I could tell the exact ages of all the trees around us. I could tell which tree was the oldest and which tree was the youngest, even though the oldest tree didn't really look like it would have been the oldest tree in reality. They appeared to me as sorta Eastern Island heads, except more Indian and some had headdresses. I have no idea if the ages I perceived were correct (probably not)
