Hi Codexians (hi yung I miss u)

As of today I am going gluten free because of health issues. Does anyone have any gluten free recipes or anything that they could share with me? I had my first taste of gluten free bread today and it was one of the worst experiences of my life (of course it wasn't that bad, but it really was BAD).

Also, if you have cut gluten out of your diet (currently or in the past), I would like to hear about it and also how you felt/feel.

Thanks

I have a very close family member who has gluten intolerance.

When you crave for sweets like cake or cookies, I recomend you trying an Almond Cake, made with almond flour, lemon and honey. It's a very fluffy and rich cake which doesn't got any flour and honestly, doesn't even need it. There're several recipes for almond cakes, it's pretty easy to make, just a couple ingredients, mix and to the oven for 30 minutes.

About bread... yeah, gluten-free bread tends to be kind of bad. My family member uses rice crackers as a sustitute for bread, and spreads things on them.

You can also have rice crust pizza, which is pretty good, crunchy and cheesy.

I will definitely investigate almond cake! I have actually never heard of it.

I shall also try rice crust pizza. I have tried cauliflower base and it actually wasn't half bad.
