This can be anything. My only rule is you have to think it's odd, not necessarily other people or odd to society (although that's fine too).

I have always been fascinated with mutli-lingual cover songs. I've always really enjoyed hearing music, especially music I am fond of, in another language. It doesn't have to be a specific language. An example is the Circle of Life from the Lion King - it's pretty fucking awesome in Bulgarian. I don't openly admit this because I don't really understand why I like music in languages I can't speak or understand.

I'm really obsessive with certain things. Punctuality, keeping my things in order, always having an objective in life. But that only goes with MY life. I don't care about how other people keep those things. It could be a good thing not to interfere with other's life but at the same time bad because that makes me kind of selfish.

I have a manageable bone and joint disease where my bones make a "cracking" noise when I get severely fatigued or immobile for a long time. Imagine cracking your knuckles. Now imagine that same sound happening to your knees, elbows, toes, neck, back, shoulders, and jaw when you overexert yourself. Waking up in the morning is a doozy. It's like firecrackers when I get up.

I find criminals attractive, I think Donald Trump serves a good purpose but not a good cause, I feel like lampshades is the most meaningless human invention ever, whenever I drive I imagine plowing against a sea of zombies, I try to give a shut for people who work in retail and the fast food industry, I am intrigued in conspiracy theories not because of their validity but because of their plausibility and consciousness pervasiveness, I enjoy the occasional manual labor in construction, I severely detest people who (for whatever reason) won't engage in casual conversations on several modes of transportation, and finally I enjoy showing off my bone disease to people.

I'm obsessive with morbid/death/murder stuff, especially related to kids/serial killers.

I almost don't sleep and when I do I only have nightmares (during my whole life, as far as I remember, only had 4 non-nightmare dreams and all of them are always the same).

I have a voice in my head that talks to me in English and, sadly, it's better at it than me.

I've been writing a book I'm not yet sure if I'm comfortable releasing it to the public no matter how few people would read it - deep inside I believe there aren't many people out there capable of reading a sexual abuse from the perpetrator's point of view without feeling nausea.

I have a very detailed plan about what to do, where to go for supplies (including a variety of weapons - due to my detailed mental schematic of the local gun store) if a zombie outbreak happens in the future, of course my plan would work for pretty much any global catastrophe that wouldn't kill me immediately.

I don't experience feelings like I know I should, most of the times I don't feel what I say I feel, I only say it because I know that's what normal people would say. There's very few things that really makes me feel something and even then it's not the right feeling for the occasion/situation.

I say I'm a masochist, but the reality is that I have a high pain tolerance I've been building since a young age without knowing the reason why I do it but it helped me a lot in several situations in my life.

Wow, haha, I was expecting answers more along the lines of "I like to eat mashed potatoes in my underwear while singing Celine Dion into my spoon." or "I like to chew on chicken bones."

I kind of think I ripped you guys off with my lame ass idiosyncrasy. I'll make up for it, I promise. Just give me some time. xD

@Kelvin - That sounds awesome. I crack a lot too, but for a different reason and probably not to the same extent. Every time I partially dislocate my jaw, hips, shoulders or wrists they crack - without fail. That being said, it sounds uncomfortable and painful. It's good to know it's manageable.

I find thieves (not petty thieves, but like white collar thievery) pretty sexy. I think Donald Trump is a troll, but I think I understand what you're saying. I agree with a lot of the other stuff you mentioned, especially conspiracy theories. I enjoy reading books and stuff on those. I feel similarly about religion, as well.

@Athayde -I like the first thing you mentioned. I think everyone is obsessed with death and morbid shit. I mean, over half the population of our species obsesses over whether or not they are going to burn in Hell or go to Heaven. That is pretty obsessive and in some denominations, incredibly morbid. It's socially acceptable to be obsessed with death and morbidity in that context. And I find serial killers fascinating from a psychological point.

I won't make further remarks about the rest of your reply, but I found it interesting and I'm glad you shared with us.

i have synaesthesia, meaning i can see every sound with what i call an inner eye. like when you're imagining an elephant you see an elephant in your brain. same happens to me when i hear music, or when i hear the sound of the keyboard as i'm typing right now. hardly any colours though, although techno/dance/house music tends to sound more yellow, classical music purple and the rest is really faded.

this also means i get very agitated when i'm in a place with lots of different noise sources, ie a crowded cantine. babbling plus chairs scraping plus clatter of cutlery plus noises from the kitchen equals me putting headphones on. white noise looks like pebbles.

and i'm absolutely terrified of whales. i've never encountered one but yes hello they are enormous and floaty!

@octopus - That must be pretty cool. Do you like to paint perchance? I think you'd have a unique insight with art, just because your perspective is so different.

Whales huh? I'm pretty terrified of deep ocean water. I couldn't even swim into the ocean, off the shelf, in a video game called ARK.

    Oh.

I fucking love chocolate milk with chips. And honeyed salty peanuts. I don't find it particularly odd, but virtually anyone that ever was in contact with me said these things are, and I quote, "utterly gross". Not everyone can appreciate mouth-sized bits of perfection *shrug*

@Athayde - That was more along the lines of what I was expecting. Also, I don't think that's weird. I like fries (chips for you I'm assuming) dipped in chocolate milkshakes. Honeyed salty peanuts sound fucking awesome. I like mustard on milk chocolate. That's weird. Oh, pistachios with M&Ms are pretty good. Mmmm.

Here is a deeper, darker secret, since you guys shared some really awesome ones:
I stim. A lot. I've given myself multiple concussions from stimming too much, and even though I'm aware of other ways to ground myself, I don't give a fuck. One of my stimulations is head-banging, as in, banging my head into a surface such as a wall, my bed, pillow or hands. I've also lost hundreds of hours of time from stimming, while body-rocking, or using a less forceful method of being in a rocking chair. I did this so much and still do. When I was on chemo, that's all I'd do in my free time. It was the only way to survive everything I had going on at the time.

I've only told two people, besides you guys, about my stimming. My husband and a close friend who understands because he was a teacher and had a few autistic children in his classes.

chips as in crisp? but i'm with you on the honeyed salty peanuts, especially with champagne. yes yes yes

@Coops i don't really paint, and capturing what i see would be so difficult. i've tried it before, it just doesn't look right. because when i see sounds, i see different layers on a 360 degrees canvas  :S

ahh there goes my plan on downloading ark. i'm stuck on one of the first missions in witcher 3 because i have to find some plants on the riverbed, yeah no, not happening. sorry geralt, you're never doing hankypanky with yennefer again

My brain makes a distinct difference between chips and french fries and I don't know why (I don't even know if there's any difference lol). I tend to call chips these store bought thingies. And french fries the homemade version also found in some fast food restaurants.

Strangely I don't like french fries with chocolate milk, but I still love chips with chocolate ice cream. :p

About the peanuts, I eat them with beer or with nothing at all, they're good solo too lol.

Sadly, I'm not a fancy person, I hate champagne and wine.

I'm Portuguese. We call all kinds fried potatoes... fried potatoes LOL.

It's the first time I'm reading about such thing, but now I'm curious and I'm pretty sure I'll try it soon. I eat almonds raw, toasted, salty, in savoury dishes, in cakes, with yogurt, with honey. I love almonds.

That's like me, I was thinking about that the other day too while talking to a friend and was wondering if there's something wrong with me or if I'm "deceiving them" for saying what I knew they wanted to hear.

Something odd about me? I have this crazy weird memory, but it's not a photographic one, it's just random facts about random people and if you tell me something about yourself there's a good chance I'll remember it down the line - especially if it has to do with important life facts like birthdays or anniversaries.. Although there are times that I don't make the connection even though I know what the date is.

Yeah, they are different although in spanish they are called the same. Papas fritas. Nonetheless, I do make a difference when there might be a confusion. Papas fritas lays when I refer the the ones bought at the store (lays being the most well-known brand :lol2: )

The most well known brand here is Ruffles. But both (Ruffles and Lays) are crap compared to Portuguese brands. Like so many other things we're the best at it but the world is oblivious to that fact (I prefer it like that. This way when foreign people visit our country and find stuff like this they are always surprised :p ).

I have a real obsession with watching/reading "cringe" stuff. None of my friends can relate and they all find it odd (as do I, I mean why am I so fascinated with things like adult babies, embarrassing weebs, and the like?). I tend not to talk about it with people that I'm not close with because they would probably think I'm REALLY weird and secretly into the stuff. But, I'm not :S I just find it really interesting that there are people out there that practice/do such things. I don't even cringe at the stuff anymore, it's just amusing at this point.

My big toes and second toes are pretty far apart, to the point where I'm great at climbing barefoot, picking things up with my feet and giving massages with my feet, but bad at wearing heels.

I can tie knots with my toes.
