I see a green poition with tongue like the mutant Wocky on the news but some others see a yellow potion with red horn instead. So I tried out different browsers and nothing changed for me. But the when use a proxy... OMG, different IP different results?!! O.o

Can somebody explain this to me???

The first is from Neopets, the other one I uploaded myself, since it doesn't seem to work when I use the link!

To me, the upper one is green, the lower one is yellow and horned! Maybe you should try different IP with different location, even different states in US gives you different results!

Yeah, for me too, the last one I got from a specif online proxy. So, I don't know what's happening!

This is so fucking creepy and my limited ICT knowledge can't fucking understand. Is there some sort of IP filter that gives different results depends on your IP for this? Or DNS problem? What is this heck?!

The screenshot shows they are different, but in the forum post they look the same. It's just like the blue and gold dress!

What I would guess has happened is that because the item was originally unreleased they replaced the old image:

 

 

With a new one prior to releasing it:

 

 

And the new image maybe hasn't propagated across all their servers yet. If you go to a page on Neopets and view the source you can see at the top that you can end up on multiple servers so I expect that's the same for their images. Could be wrong though, who knows.

If that's just what server you end up's problem, you can't explain why do we unable to get the other image with soly (hard) refreshes. Unless you mean that line changes with your IP. And the only way to change the image known is to change IP, so I think it has something to do with this.

There's no way of knowing for sure, I'm merely speculating. Best bet would be to submit a ticket or write in to the Editorial and ask.
