Theme: Witty One-Liners

 

 

Brevity is the soul of wit.

 

Straight to the point and first to the punch, one-liners are statements that need no context to be stimulating and stir action and/or emotion in the audience. All with only a drop of ink. They can be anything from jokes, insults, famous last words, inspiration quotes, nonsense, and beyond. In many forms of media, one-liners highlight the pinnacle of comedy and intellectual discourse.  

 

Rules:

1. You must write it yourself. I have access to a few notorious plagiarism checkers. Beware.

2. It must follow Codex rules.

3. SPECIAL RULE: Each one-liner must never exceed 250 characters, but they can be multiple sentences or phrases. Note that the character limit also includes punctuation and spaces.

4. Submissions must be submitted via PM to me, by 1/23/2016 11:59 PM EST

5. Please title your submission/PM "Themed Writing Contest #11"!

6. Each participant may submit up to 2 one-liners.
