you'll likely need to buy a new clasp, or see if you can get a pair of needle nose pliers and bend the clippy part

I had a pair of them but they were so old and rusty they broke apart last time I tried using them for something.. I have some regular pliers...

lol...
With the crappy pliers...
*bends too far*
Shit shit shit I thought.. So I just put the clasp near the clip and used the pliers to push together hoping the bend would straigthen a bit.. Then of course..
*can't get clip undone*
so I basically use pliers and a flat nose screwdriver to unclip them and keep trying to slightly unbend the claspy thing
finally Its almost perfect, it has enough clip to be nearly as clippy as the 2nd clip, but more clip than before xD

I'd just buy a new clasp and screw trying to bend a tiny metal piece.

Too late now !!! I think if and when the next time 1 of the clasps break or something I might just get a chain or new leather cord thing..

Next time take the thing off and use some cord to tie a decorative slip knot.
