Yeah, honestly I feel like there are some guys who should pay to donate sperm. "So, you get an isolated dark room, a semi-crunchy lazy boy and all the porn on VHS that I can handle??? Where do I sign up?"

VHS? What decade do you live in?
That is the appeal! idk, I have never donated sperm, just from what I hear.

My body is going to be empty when they lower me into the ground. I'll donate anything that can still be used, that way I can live on in another body and take it captive.

Do you truly believe you will inhibit that body? How will you split your conscious amongst so many living beings?

Nah it's like horcruxes.

Voldepus was the first thing I thought of. 8 arms for the price of 2!

This does bring up an interesting debate. Wherein does the conscious lie? For horcruxes, they must put a bit of the conscious mind in each one, right (like the diary)?

My friend and I were talking about this the other day. It would be interesting if people could only receive organs if they were organ donors themselves...

I doubt they'd intentionally tell them that there's one available if it wouldn't go to them. I can see how computer/human error would cause a lawsuit of mass proportions if it happened though.I don't think that you should be able to specify where your organs go. That's a bit fucked up. Imagine you were first on the list for an organ, find out there's one available, and then find out it's not going to you because of some stupid reason that the person gave before they passed. You're gone, it can help people. Why ruin their new shot at life?
I save all mine and my kids teeth in a box and when I pull them out and hold them, I feel powerful af.This does bring up an interesting debate. Wherein does the conscious lie? For horcruxes, they must put a bit of the conscious mind in each one, right (like the diary)?

I like that. How would you control people from just signing up once they realize they will need a transplant?

Put them at the end of the list.

Put them at the end of the list.
Would that work? I don't really know the details of transplants but figure they need to crossmatch types really closely, and give it to someone relatively nearby (so the organ doesn't die during transportation) so I feel like they just give to the best match, not necessarily who is "first" on the list? Maybe. Could be totally wrong. xD

I was under the impression that geographical distance wasn't taken into consideration. There's airplanes and stuff they can go on.
at the time of donation, potential transplant recipients are matched in priority based upon criteria such as severity of illness, length of time on the waiting list, blood type, and size of the organ.

These usually include: blood type, body size, severity of patient's medical condition, distance between the donor's hospital and the patient's hospital...

Yeah, distance is usually considered. Weird though, right? Since to us distance isn't much of a factor anymore.

Your resource is better than mine.
But what are the odds of someone adding themselves to the organ donor list because they need an organ, then that person being the only person in that area who needs that organ next in line and everything else is perfectly aligned for it?

Yeah, that seems unlikely. Maybe (if the scenario being talked about was in place) they could put like a 6 month waiting period or something after the person became a donor. Or whatever.

Corpses don't have body autonomy.
Pretty sure they do that's why things such as digging up graves, desecration of a corpse and necrophilia are illegal.
