I switched from grinding boreal wood to the crystal pools today and have gotten 3x the chests and way more snow in just a few hours o-o Didn't realize it was so much better there!

I have the same problem on all accounts. Just browse around the item sales forum, people usually offer some nice items in exchange for snow and its alot more discrete than AH and a Sale thread. I noticed it in the past 2 festivals (riot of rot was the worst) that people aren't buying currency off of the AH like they used to.

whenever that happens to me I just grab a bajillion copies of the festive apparel and sell them off the week after the festival since they're the most expensive thing at 65

Oh you multi account? Do you just use an in-browser proxy or VPN? I've been thinking about doing that because I'd really like to start over with a new lair theme but I'm too attached to my current dragons. And I usually chuck stacks of 10 of the festival currency on the AH for 7-10k each, they always get bought. And yes, I get so much stuff during the festivals. Best time for item trading.

I just bought like 10 crowns. Are festival apparel easy to sell? I usually just let them rot in my hoard...

I used to make gem BANK with fesitval currency.  Rounded up a little mafia of all the lowest gem sellers and kept the price at 5 gems for a few days.  But now it crashes much more quickly.

 

Your best bet is to either buy up the goodies and sell them later, or sit on the snows and sell them for ~1k a piece the first few days of the next festival.
