My childish dream is to be a teacher. Middle school maybe. They're old enough to understand, but young enough to still have fun. Except kids are dicks and I get too anxious being a leader and in front of crowds.
What I'm actually going to do eventually is go to school for IT and enter a field I'm far more comfortable in and won't be shoved into crowds of people and expected to not freak out.

I got laid off from my job at an engineering firm (I drafted electrical schematics for buildings) and now am working at a law firm as a file clerk.
Pays more but it's really far from what I wanted to do in the future. Oh well.
My dream is still to be a museum curator though. I'll keep working towards that academically.

As someone who's going off to college next fall, this is a question I've been pondering pretty often. All I know is that I want something high-paying...my mind was set on becoming a doctor for a while, but I don't think I could handle the stress of being 200-300k in debt from student loans alone and not pay it those until mid-late 30's, or possibly even early 40's.

I wanted and still want to be a veterinarian but because I thought it was too difficult for me, I'm now studying to work in a laboratory to contribute in the development of medicines etc. Maybe when I finish this I'll still try to become a veterinarian.. I'm not sure yet.

how did i not see this thread earlier!? I love reading everybodies jobs and dream jobs! such fun.
I am a full-time mommy and homemaker. I would love to be an entertainer one day. I get a kick out of being strange and seeing/sharing the world from a different perspective.

I'm a biology grad student, I work in a lab doing experiments on cells all day haha my research is on neurodegenerative diseases which is super interesting
I also TA and give private tutoring lessons for extra cash. I used to bartend a few evenings a week but doing that + the long hours at the lab just got too exhausting for me I really miss it though, it's a fun job.

I'm a web developer right now, working on transitioning into a software dev role. Neopets had a weirdly big influence on that lol. Learning HTML and CSS from being on Neo = take programming classes in high school = CS degree

I'm a semester away from graduating and I was looking to get an entry-level IT or programming job.
Don't really have a long-term plan, though.

"Often" for me = not as much as I'd like, but yep. Once or twice a month. I have the luck to live somehow near of some beaches with perfect waves for it

Me I'm an executive chef, I manage 15 restaurants and a large catering business for high end clientele. We do everything from business meetings for 400+, weddings for 300+, we've done some celebrity events as well. I want to own my own restaurant some day, mostly just need to get the loans in order because I've got the business plan, menus, etc etc already done up.
