Guys i am currently averaging buy times of around 3300 - 6600ms and feel im missing out on a few items.

Ive played around with preH and OCR to try and bring this down, currently set at 0.2/0.5 & 0.2/0.4 respectively.

I know people have said before this is risky but surely if its not bringing down my buy times it wont be an issue?

I used to autobuy years ago, only recently just got back in to it so any advice would be appreciated.

What's your average buy times?

Around 1400-2000ms. 1500ms is considered our "safe zone". Your current times, especially the 6600ms are considered slow. The 6600ms is considered very slow.
Our guide directory sounds like it may be helpful for you: http://www.neocodex....uide-directory/

Thanks for the reply, i have had a look in there but pin pointing a resolution for my issue is a bit of a headache lol.

Would moving my PreH and OCR down further help? I mean its already pretty low, is there anything else i could do in the program to help?

I used to use VMS years ago i forget the reasoning behind this but im pretty sure that bought down buy times if set up correctly?

Honestly, it seems as though since your pre haggle and OCR are already pretty low, that your internet is just slow. Could you do a speed test and then post it so we can check if your internet is what's causing the slow buy times. Sadly, I have no idea what VMS stands for, so I can't give you any help with that aspect.

Sorry for the late reply.

Ive just finished setting up a new instance with EC2 located in east US to run abrosia on a shell account.

I have my OCR and prehag set to 0.0001 - 0.001 for  both but i am still getting buy times of 2000+ms occasionally sub 1500.

I just done a speed test and i am getting 12MBPS down. (this is a little low i should be getting double that tbh)

Any ideas?

Sorry for posting here but I didn't want to start a whole new thread about this.

Was any solution for this ever found? I have very slow speeds usually (3000-6000ms) but for the last couple of days I've been seeing things like:  Bought Eyrie Pilot Jacket: 12275 NP in 32881ms (Est. Profit: 19499 NP)

32,881ms seems crazy slow... :(

@tammyisbored Can you screenshot your Abrosia settings? And run a speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/ to tell me what your connection is.

@Coops

Thanks for the help! My settings are still the default basic settings, I can't make them any faster so the problem must be my connection.

Speed test is pretty slow :( 15-20mbps

I'm going to guess it's your connection as well. Your settings aren't much different than mine and I get buy times of 1100-1600 ms. Best thing I can suggest is don't download/upload while running Abrosia, don't use streaming services, etc. But short of getting a better ISP, there's not a ton you can do that I know of.

Oh well :( I guess that's the downside of not living in the USA haha thanks for trying :) So you don't think advanced would help me at all?

It might, but I can't be sure, to be honest.

My buy times without Advanced are around 4500ms. My buy times with Advanced are around 1900ms. So it helps for sure. Since you can low the pre-haggle and OCR delay, you'll remove around 2 seconds of your buy time!

Aw I guess I'll stick to basic for now then, I've gotten a few good things already even with my slow buy times (Yay zdap!) and I'm still getting a feel for how this all works now haha I can't believe I used to rs legitimately .-. such a waste of time lol

Oh wow maybe it does make a difference o-o I'm kind of scared of lowering them too much though...

Don't be afraid. I mean, if you go totally insane and low your buytime to 500ms, then TNT might bother enough to freeze you, but if you keep it +1400ms, you'll be fine.

I have been ABing on more than 5 accounts with low buytimes for months now.

I can't believe how lax TNT have become with freezing haha once upon a time you couldn't even breath without getting iced, now people are duping suaps and abing freely and its hilarious! What a time to be on neo :p

If they freeze the last 5 players, in no time TNT will be the only user online.

Hahaha I like this comment xD

But yes @tammyisbored they're pretty lax with cheating now, with your connection you could probably set pre-haggle / OCR timings to 0.001s (like I do) with Advanced and still be very safe. :D

@Copycat is actually running a study on exactly how lax they are right now by the way, you can find out more/make your contribution here: http://www.neocodex....-please-answer/

This is crazy! If I end up getting advanced I doubt I will be brave enough to do anything like that :p

I'll have a look at that survey, although I doubt I'll be much help since I only just started playing again and I've only been abing for about 3 days lol
