We've seen a lot more newbies posting as of late (go altador cup!) and topics being made fairly rapdily.

 

What do you guys think spam is? Could it be posts made with the intention of reaching a certain number?

Multiple topics made in an effort to get one to blow up?

 

What steps should new members take in order to avoid being considered a nuisance?

What do older members need to be reminded of?

Posts that are not related to the topic itself. That includes single-worded replies, emojis or simply anything that doesn't have to do with what's being discussed on the thread.

 

If a new member is replying to lots of ~old~ topics but without doing what I mentioned above, then I don't consider that spamming, even though we surely know that he or she does it just for the posts

Nonsensical answers that don't relate to the topic and sentences with less than 5 words. Also, emoticon and picture/video replies. If everyone could not post that kind of stuff that'd be great.

Grave digging for the sole purpose of upping post count(s). I mean, if you have something relevant to the topic you just dug up from 8 months ago, then cool. But if it's just to post "lol me too!" then...no. I feel odd replying to this because I'm a super newbie here x_x

oh btw, i have high tolerance towards spam because we have the staff members to take care of that sort of thing and if they're busy, we have @Katya to scold the spammers. (@Katya complaining about spammers is like @Ali complaining about threads should be moved to general chat)

 

besides, i think i have selective reading... some of y'all need to realise you don't have to read everything that is posted in here.
