I have to take my wife to work at 430 pm, and I get back home at about 530 pm. I can't really do it much earlier because I sleep during the day due to being a graveyard worker. In order for me to host one early I would have to get up at a time that would be equivalent to someone getting up at 4am on their day off to do this, plus my wife can't sleep when I am up.

It may seem like a lot of excuses but I deal with it every day.


If any of you want to take this and host it after this weekend, for a week, to make it available at an earlier time. You are welcome!

I can also make this like other contests where people can host it if they win, then move down the list if that person doesn't want to host.

I can however move it an hour earlier if that would help get @Katya in.

Google tells me NST is Newfoundland Standard Time (NST). Is that correct?

I hate timezones. I know it's an inconvenience to change things or always trying to make sure the things are in a time that most people can join it. But I'm not alone in this timezone, and I'm sure others would join this if given the chance.

7pm NST is 3am GMT, it's not because "it's too late" for me to join, since I'm always up at that time every single day, it's because it's too late for me to be in front of a computer monitor and sadly the CAH site doesn't work on mobile.

 

Giving the chance to the previous winner host it, might work and since you can't host it during other time span, if someone else does it may be more flexible hour-wise.

I think people started doing because most folks around here are Americans and it's easier to just convert things from Neopets timezone, since we're mainly a Neopets related forum? I actually have no idea since it was already like that when I joined lol

For what it's worth, I'd use GMT for these things. *cough*

NST is easy to check, you just go to neopets.com and you have it. With other timezones people would have to search for the time difference, and with daylight savings time and stuff, it wouldn't be really simple

I'm usually off computer by midnight (right now, tbh). My eyes can only suffer so much after almost 8 hours in front of a computer during the day e.e

I can always join next time, so no worries! I'm just sad it will be second week in a row I won't be able to.

 I'd do it super early in the morning when I get home from work, but that would be 4 or 5 AM, but I still have to take care of the dog at that.

We'll see who wins, and if they will do a new time. If they don't want to host, you're welcome to host!

Can never go wrong with some good ol fashion CaH.

I own a few expansions myself with the biggest blackest box.

I've also signed up for their holiday expansions, those were always fun. 

Sadly last year, was the last year for that. They did do it for 3 years though, can't complain.
