Last time I played this game was like 5-6 years ago and it has been gnawing at me occasionally tempting me to come back every so often.

 

A little background information: I played neopets on and off for like 8-10 years when I was a little kid. I actually got frozen before but not for cheating but for flaming someone. I was a little kid I was stupid back then.. A shame cause I actually had a jade scorchstone on that account, I got it on the tower place when it sold for 1 million neopoints.

 

I made a new account and continued playing on and off. Made it pretty far I think I probably had around 25m in coins and 25-30m in battledome equipment like the hypno helm, etc but somehow I got hacked but never figured out how it happened.

 

So is the game dead right now and can I catch up quickly if I cheat? I have no interest in playing legit anymore because it would take too much to catch up. I want to play casually at this point and just fool around. One of the things I liked in this game was the randomness of it (random events, games of chance) and also battledome (I always wanted to rank high in those wars but I got hacked before I could).

The battledome is pointless and broken. Everything sucks.

Pretty much. And if you aren't going to play legit anyway, you can always just make another account if you get iced.

The site is pretty dead. I can't prove it, but I get the feeling that most very active players cheat (ex. not including casual players who just chat and play games). Honestly, if TNT did somehow crack down and nuke all cheaters, I think the site would die in a week.

 

You could catch up fairly quickly if you cheat. Probably best to score send safely/autobuy small items for your first mill and then start autobuying and quickselling them. The thing is, "catching up" is subjective. Could you ever catch up to the billionaires who made instant NPs through exploits and mass botting? Naw. But you could make your 50 mill back in a few weeks/months depending on how much you bot. If you like cheating for the sake of cheating (like I do), go for it.

Either play games manually or score send. BUT score sending is quite dangerous unless you know what you're doing. I recommend researching it well (review scores, realistic times, impossible scores, etc) before attempting it.

 

Or else... dunno. Could resell cheap stuff if you like merchanting

Sadly, the site isn't as exciting anymore... Dress to Impress is still fun but I am losing interest in actually playing now. This site keeps me entertained enough during my free time though with all of the contests and such! I have some close friends on here. I am hoping this site doesn't die out since Neopets is.

You can also play Ghoul Catchers, available both as a mobile app and as a Facebook game (though I've only been able to run it on Firefox). You can get 50k NPs per day, and you can do so by simply repeating the very simple first game 50 times a day. If that gets too dreary, you can google for bots which can play the game for you on the computer, with a bit of setup.

I am gonna scoresend to make starting capital. Don't really care if I get frozen obviously. Being careful with the scores and only playing games with fast play times.

Once I get enough np I won't bother scoresending outside of like a few games for quick np.

Yeah sounds right. If you mess up the times and get frozen, it's just a brand new account lost. But if you mess up the score and someone notices it 4 years from now, you can still be banned. Which I assume is your logic, just clarifying it's smart.

Thanks for the tip. This seems like a fast way to earn starting capital. Level 1 is easy to beat.

The day resets at midnight, GMT time.

 

100k is enough to get started yes. Books sounds like a good choice for 1 day accounts too.

I started abing with 50K and it goes well ^^

I would AB in food with a new account, pretty sure neggs are more profitable than books available for a new account. You can also get a bag of peanuts, which goes for ~150k and it's only a r79.

Is this really actually true? How dead is dead? Anyone think it will come back or is it doomed? Edit: So after I read these posts I decided to see for myself. I think the biggest thing that shows me the player base is dead, unless something happened I don't know about, is the auctions page, back when I last played there were pages and pages and pages of listed items. Now there is one page of twenty items. kinda bummed.
