I thought ACXI got my account iced, since it was frozen the day the shop opened. BUT, someone on TND forums mentioned they saw their UC pet on someone else's account, and on a lark I looked up my Werelupe. AND IT'S ON SOMEONE ELSE'S GD ACCOUNT. I WASN'T ICED. I WAS HACKED. WTF CAN I DO ABOUT THIS??? TNT hasn't responded to my GD ticket at all, and didn't really expect them too, thinking I was iced. BUT I WAS ROBBED. MFers. Can't just cheat honorably and get your own gd pets. I've had that GD lupe for TWELVE YEARS! I MADE HIM. I've played for 15 years, and I can't even get a GD reply. RAAAAAAAAAWR!

That is so shitty why are people so shitty.... Hopefully they respond to your ticket! I keep making updates to my original ticket with random tidbits of my personal Neo information so I would suggest that? Idk it makes me feel better than waiting around and not saying anything to kiss TNT's booty

Adding would be a good idea. I had a little spreadsheet with everything I could think of and put it all in there. But, there might be some errata I can add. Thank you.

Look at the bright side. At least your account wasn't iced for cheating. You have a chance of getting it back. Depending how long TNT will look at your ticket.

No, captchas have nothing do with it.

Change your e-mail and password, don't open suspicious userlookups.

I am assuming the people who are using the bots already have some or all of the database leaks and are using bots to visit userlook ups to then decide if they are worth manually checking the value inside of it. I believe the captchas will not prevent it, but instead slow the process down. There are bots that can do captchas, they are either using those kind of bots or will soon.

If you have an alternative theory for what the bots are doing with lookups and pet pages let us know.

How do you determine if a lookup is suspicious? Especially when the biggest part of checking lookups is with trades or gallery where I or anyone else here may not know the age of the account.

I just logged on today and noticed my account didn't look right. Someone logged onto my account and sold all my expensive stuff or transfered it away on sept 13th, theres only useless sales history. It seems as though they prolly took what they wanted and then cleared history and then just lowered the prices in my shop to sell to randoms wanting a deal.

 

So random after so so many years to have my account hacked into. I guess i'm done playing for good now.

 

I'm actually happy that it is common because for a second I was worried i would have to change my passwords of other things on my computer but if it is only on neopets then my computer should be clean of viruses

When I played I only had pins on the stuff where I had lots of money invested (bank, SBD and pet/equipment). I never bothered with stocks (~2mil) or shop (who has the time to steal items worth less than 100k?)

Well, you could report the account that has it now.

Hehe, yes, goddamned. I'm actively working on my cursing. But, I felt the event warranted some strong language, even abbreviated.

I do have pins on EVERYTHING on my new main. I had a pin on the bank, but I don't think I had it for anything else. Painful lesson.

Yeah, I thought about that as I was suggesting it, but if you do it soon, then it should be fine. Usually when people transfer ucs, they let them set a while to avoid catching suspicion from the neoboards. If you wait til next month, Halloween month that they probably stole it for, I think there would be a higher chance that it would be in someone else's hands.
Or you got some asshole who just pawned it off as quick as they could without regard for whether or not the dude got iced.

Took me a minute to find out how to report a specific account, but I used the Abuse form, under "scamming for items or neopoints". Included the ice date, pet name, and my ticket number. Now, fingers crossed.
 
I found the UC UFT boards (really the Neopian Pound board) and spent maybe an hour combing for ads for my lupe. I didn't find any. Hopefully that means the thief IS letting him chill for a while, and there's a shot of getting him back before he's lost or damaged.

The Mrsg ot hacked to and lost about 400m in items,  TNT did reopen her account but could only give back the last 10 items traded so she lost everything more or less.
