Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new laptop. The main thing I need it to be able to do is handle photoshop/lightroom. Won't be gaming, but good processor/good screen are important. I like ASUS, but I'm not opposed to other manufacturers. Looking to spend no more than $800.

Here's the one that's at the top of my list atm: https://www.amazon.c..._36:50000-85000

Thanks for any help!

Dell Inspiron i7559-763BLK Laptop is a really good laptop. It's not really a new computer but I have it. The following video has pretty much covered all the pros/cons for the laptop

I believe I remember reading Dell XPS laptops have the best displays on non-Apple laptops currently :0 If you're okay with refurbished laptops, I found this for about $730

There are cheaper ones here, but they have slightly different specs.

Sticking with ASUS, I would consider the K501, its a little more pricey but not too crazy. It also has an i7 processor instead of the i5

This is the one I currently use for gaming. It can run GTA 5 and fallout 4 just fine. The only game that's ever been unplayable is ARK.

I know you're not using it for gaming, but I also use it for digital art just fine too.

I'm going to second this post because I had this laptop for a while (it got stolen and then my mom decided I was a mac person and I can't argue with free so...). It was pretty awesome. Definitely a great display.

Don, is there anything else you'd like in the laptop? Max weight for example? Or should it just have a good screen and be able to handle photoshop?

I don't carry mine around very often, so it doesn't need to be very light. Don't need a behemoth lol but that's no big deal. Really just a good screen with accurate colors and enough processing/ram to edit smoothly!

Thanks to everyone who's answered so far :)
