So, I'm going absolutely bonkers trying to locate what font is used on the 2016 Pokémon Valentines. I've tried running them all through Fontfinder and the like, but nothing even close to similar pops up. I'm sort of at my wit's end. 
If anyone has any ideas or leads, I'd greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!

That's amazing! How did you recognise that? Do you study fonts for fun or something? (It sounds weird but I've heard of people doing that)

I am indeed a typographer. I'm in my masters and doing research around everything surrounding typography.

@Amethyst It's so cool. I'm doing my internship with Dr. Ann Bessemans at the moment. That woman is wicked smart and I'm helping with research around dyslexia and how to go about designing a font that helps people but mostly kids that are learning to read.

As someone who's dyslexic, I highly approve of this. I think it's a really good idea.
