Any Mario Kart fans out there? I play it on the switch now but I used to play a bit on my 3ds. 

 

What characters do you guys play as? I personally play as Link but I used to play as Toad most of the time.

Also what place do you usually get? With family/computers, I usually get 1st place but online I typically get like 2nd or 3rd.

I used to play it on N64 as Toad quite a bit. I bought it for the Switch, played it maybe 3 times and haven't touched it since... It came with all the characters and tracks already unlocked -.- Stupid idea.

I think it has something to do with weight right? I just picked him because he's adorable lol. 

I know on the switch that character makes a difference but not too sure about the older games

Haven't played Mario Kart in a long long time but I played the hell out of MKDS back when I was younger *_* Snaking felt so dang good and man it totally sucks that they got rid of it in the newer games.

 

Also I play Dry Bones whenever I can!! Or Yoshi if he isn't around/unlocked yet

N64 was the best. Toad was who I always used. I even liked battle mode in that one. Now I play on the switch - really enjoying it. I always get first place.....on 50cc

 

My favorite part of the game is actually online battle mode. They did a really good job with it.

I own them and play a bunch for SNES and 64. I carried the systems on my bachelor party and we played drunk mario kart. It is worth giving a shot if you've never played with those rules.

My first and only Mario Kart game was on the Wii! It was also the only game my sister and I could ever play together - anything else and either one of us would lose interest or we'd end up getting too mutually frustrated to even bother.

 

She'd always pick Yoshi, and I would play Dry Bones! I kinda miss playing it.

I've been debating getting MK8 for the switch! I haven't owned a MK game before. The majority of my previous experience comes from (sadly) a few years back so I actually don't remember much from it LOL.

YES. YES. DO IT!

It's super fun in my opinion! Really convenient how you can just use the two joycons to play multiplayer.

 

i always get like 2nd place at best online though im so salty

MK is just a super solid game in general. It's fun and great to just play in your free time/winding down or getting competitive with friends.

Never played it much, which led to me losing all the time against friends and that didn't make me play more. Now we have a Wii U and I'm trying to get all the trophies in single player. I'm sloowly getting better, the easier speeds helped a lot. Now I'm trying 150cc and haven't gotten a trophy, ha. However, I think I can make it someday, if I don't get bored of it before. MK8 has some really pretty courses. I always play as Villager with the matching bike/tires/parachute because Animal Crossing!

I didn't even realize there were online comps :'D Thanks for the advice, I'll try to get it once my next paycheck rolls in! o7
