Whenever I see new content like this Welcome to Fall Background, I just have to sigh and wonder if my neopets are supposed to be living in Neopia or Suburbia.

Anyone else a bit disappointed when the wearables seem to be taken from Pinterest and have nothing to do with the unique Neopia universe, where you can live underwater or in space?  It's happening more and more!

Yeah I gotta say the setting IP is massive and wild. It's already depressing playing Neopets circa 2017 knowing there's pretty much nobody at the helm now. I havent been really paying attention so I don't know if this sort of thing is rampant, but I have to suspect it is so with so many changes of management (and that most of the original staff is no longer there??),  there is (understandably) no care or understanding of the IP enough to celebrate the huge and colorful setting they -just acquired- from JS.

Sigh.

If it wasn't for those three kids I think you would've nailed the current Neopets demographic.

I get your point, i feel this looks more like animal crossing than neopets... but i like it.

A lot of people enjoy humanizing their pets, actually xD 

 

And it's not like you only have this kind of bg... you have a lot of fantasy (and nature)-themmed backgrounds to use

 

But yeah, it would be great to have more underwater and space themmed stuff.
