I've noticed that every time I use the autobuyer, then go to use the shop wizard, I immediately get the "whoa too many searches" message and can't use the wizard until the next hour.

 

Also, I happened to have a memory stick in my pc this morning when I started the AB and have found on it a screen shot my computer took (not sure why) which shows my np account searching for an item that I have never searched for and didn't search for this morning at that time.

 

So my question is as per title.

Abrosia runs searches in the background to update our database. You can't search the SW without a neopets account, so by that I'd say yes, it does use your account. I'm not sure what's going on with your memory stick though.
