I had a choice between:
- a Philips Velo for $40 that looked like it had fallen from a 10 story building,
- a Psion Revo for $85 that - like all Revos - didn't have a backlight and had a strange keyboard (and no possible memory upgrades/other extensions!)
- this one...
I've just won the bid for it, I'll pay tomorrow and it should ship about by the next Monday... I'll post more about it when it arrives

It's actually awesome with a wider-than-standard screen and all the other bells and whistles:
Size & Weight 185 mm x 94 mm x 24.5 mm :: 430 g 7.28 in x 3.7 in x 0.96 in :: 15.17 oz Processor Hitachi SH3 @ 80 MHz Memory RAM 8 MB ROM 8 MB Graphics Processor Unknown Display FSTN LCD :: LED backlight 640 x 240 pixels :: 4 grayscales Communications Serial cable IrDA Expansion options CF Type I PC Card Type II Battery 2x AA :: life up to 25 hours :: removable CR2032 backup battery :: removable Input methods touch screen keyboard Audio speaker :: microphone
Another cool thing is, it comes with the original WinCE2 and manufacturer's driver & prog CDs...
I bought it because I needed something very portable, and my laptop just isn't portable enough
Now I just need a 56k CF/PCMCIA modem... I've got an archaic 14.4k one, but that must've been a joke by the manufacturer :ermm:
And now the worst thing... unlike my laptop, I had to pay for it entirely with my own cash :angry2:
EDIT: bump
