The NeoCodex Checks:
Mumei and I have finally completed the NeoCodex Program Authorization Checks project (CodexChex for short). It uses technology on the client side as well as the server side to ensure that your program is only used by NeoCodex Members. Procedures involved are encrypted using very sophisticated algorithms to deliver extra security. Mumei has done all of the client side, and I have done the server side (along with Mumei's guidance of course). Soon, we will be distributing DLLs that you can add to your programs. Once you have received your codex check DLL from Mumei (please do not PM hi'm yet, just WAIT until we distribute them), you will then add a program entry to the Server Side control panel (also available in UserCP menu at bottom):
http://www.neocodex....&CODE=prog_view
Click "Add Program". Fill out all the details for your program, then click the "Add Program" button. You will see your program entry with the ID number beside it. This is your unique programID for your program (which will be used in the check). To set who you want using your program, click "Set Permissions" beside the program name. You can then set which groups you want to not see your program.
Let's say you have a public program. All you would have to do is at the "Add Filter" section, select "Member and above", do not fill out the username, fill out the User/Group Message (you can leave blank until you find a use for it in the DLL) and press OK. The only ti'me you use the Username field is if you want to BAN someone from your program, or if you want to ALLOW specific users to view your program.
If your program is private, select "Private and above".
If your program is retired, select "Retired and above".
To Ban a specific member:
- Select " - Not Needed - " from the group list.
- Type in the username you want to ban.
- Select "inactive"
- Press OK.
To BAN a group of members:
- Select the group you want to ban from the group list.
- Leave username blank.
- Select "inactive"
- Press OK.
To ALLOW a group of members:
- Select the group you want to allow from the group list.
- Leave username blank.
- Select "active"
- Press OK.
NOTE: If you want to allow a group AND a member of a different group at the same ti'me, you can fill out both the group and the username fields.
Hope this all makes sense, PM me if you have any problems.

by the way: If your program is in the uncertified, and it does not have a check, priority will go to the programs with checks installed. So when Mumei releases the DLLs, please add them!
