Ask a staff member why registrations aren't open. God knows the rest of us want them to be.

At least if u guys open it, put the public progs on invisible for like a month or sumthin
I hate this because if we're flooded with leechers, we, and by we I mean those who arent in private, might suffer from the consequences of those ppl and I dont want that.

thats an argument in the debate...its pretty heated tho...and dck is right, it has been a long ti'me weve been debating this topic but the thing is...were the only forum that has ever lived with closed registrations. evo tried it and they opened in two days...digibliss tried it...and were more successful than evo but did not last as long as us...needless to say...good job guysI still say we should do that 1 or 2 week trial >_>

thats true too...there are basically two sides, those who say what you are saying...those who have gotten used to the closed community...and those who say we need a flow of new faces...I dont think we should open regs..I mean, last ti'me they opened, y'all saw how many ppl were actually leechers..

and then there are others who arent really debating but are giving ideas like how we should make a screening process and stuff...which is a bit hard

Does anyone remember ever staying with a friend for an extended amount of ti'me? In every case, by the ti'me you/they leave, you two are about to kill eachother from the sheer ti'me spent with eachother.
I think that is beginning to happen to Codex
Noit was beginning to blame hi'mself for an fight lastnight because from where he saw it, he should have been doing a better job as staff. With the increasing "disagreements", to say the least, I think the longer we go cooped up with eachother, the more staff we need to maintain order.
Whereas, if we open registrations, there will be a flood of new members and we will need more staff anyway.
Bottom line: More staff.
I think we need some fresh meat-- err, members
NOTE: I am not suggesting I get staff, just incase anyone thinks I am. I am big against people requesting to be staff

I remember. Boy I was a n00b. XDI think we should have them open (Atleast for a little while) because I have seen some people getting at eachothers throats, lately.

I think that is beginning to happen to CodexMost of the fights get invisibled pretty quick, but they are there. That also coinecides with my theory that we need more staff (Yes, it sounds crazy, but hear me out,)

)
I agree with you on every account. But I also think that the two go hand in hand. Open registrations should come with more staff. Thats the way I see it anyway.

I'll open a poll and see what everyone else thinks of the matter.

I'm thinking that if we don't allow regestrations, then we're missing out. Without them, our community will stay pretty much the same. That's not always good.

I like the exclusivity of a close community

you've got a sharp solid point there, Acid.you forgot the option that yes we open them but for a li'mited period of ti'me

Thats why we have a regular pruning. Once a month or so seems a right number. Or we could always make a delay to get programs. One month to get them.Because if we let randoms join then they will just register take the programs they want/need and never come back there all just a bunch of leaching fagets
People would sign up for them, learn they couldn't get them for a month, leave, come back and have no account

The thing I'm just starting to see is that the inactive staff members are the ones argueing against it. They know its their ass as a staff member if regs are opened, they would be replaced with more active staff members.I agree with most things said here. Open up the registrations again, keep an eye on the members with new staff (we need a revamp on staff, some are inactive) and a regular pruning like redlion said, once a month will do. I'm all for it. This should be posted in news.

The thing is, when we have a constant flow of people coming in its not as many as the christmas lot, therefore they won't need so much "attention" from staff members, hopefully. If people understand what I mean
