I want to run linux, but all I have tried doesn't support my Cable Modem, the only one that worked was knoppix (and everyone knows it sucks) So anyone know a good linux distro that will work with my USB connected NTL Cable Modem?

Now why does knoppix suck? Yeah sure kde is t3h suck but appart from that? it works right out of the box it's not insecure and it offers a lot of programs you wil use :) also it's debian based so you get apt what else do you want? Of course you could always use Gnoppix to get something nice gnome based :) or Kanotix :) Kano is cooler then Knopper ;)

I'd try debian if you don't want to do a hard disk install of a live linux but like mentioned above there's nothing wrong with that... :)

Kubuntu has KDE as the main WM it can't be that good ;)

no seriously GNOME has a better user interface design and is more intuitive to use... ah well pferences of course

but I'd rather take the Gnoppix way then Ubuntu :) live linux is cool it works just like that and you also get all the cool debian tools ;)

debian is like one of the best (if you can get it installed I've spent over a month trying to get it to work with my gfxcard finally my hard drive got fried that I was trying to install linux on probably so much messing no I think it was just a bad quality drive ) :p

I'm using Si'mplyMEPIS (At Si'monTheMi'me's suggestion). So far, I love it.. I couldn't get Kubuntu or Ubuntu to work...

Kubuntu would always crash during installation, saying that it couldn't copy something likes initrd-tools or something like that. Ubuntu wouldn't recognize my video card, leaving me with the terminal.

But with Si'mplyMEPIS, I'm loving it. Linux is uber-sexy.
