- Every time we took a backup, codex died
- Every time we optimized the database, codex died
- Every time we did anything, codex died
- There was extreme problems with lag especially with sending PMs
- Random shit would die at random times.
- FTP really slow
- Site panel really sucked
In our transfer to the new server, we have upgraded our scripts to 2.0.4 from 2.0.0. This upgrade allows the fix of many security bugs that have been found by IPB. We are currently in the process of reinstalling the major modifications to the board. Please bare with us while we go through this process.
Our previous host, DotEasy, did not allow us to use very much memory but since we have switched to a new host, a lot of the board functions that we couldn’t use (admin side mostly) have now been made available. We have added a new skin that once took too many resources to install. There have been some changes in the Admin CP but I won’t bore you with that sort of stuff .
Anyway, we will be able to do a lot more with the new server. This is also in accordance with the plan that the administrators have for NeoCodex. We are going to make NeoCodex even better than it already is.
Thank you for all your guys’ patience. We will do our best to never let such a downtime ever happen again.
Note: There is still a lot to be done to get Neocodex back up to speed but if you want to come and hang out, maybe post a bit, you can still use the forums.
If there are any bugs, please report them to the staff by posting in this forum: http://www.neocodex....hp?showforum=30
Here's a message from SL64:
Once again, the NeoCodex administration apologizes for the last three days of hell. We will do everything we can to continue to provide service (NeoCodex) to everyone.
Look on the bright side... we're away from the evil bad server now. NeoCodex.us, links, and portal (thx hydro) work now. Reputation mod, arcade, and any additional modifications will be installed soon. Welcome back everyone!
EDIT: I did my best to get all the uploads, but some avatars might be corrupt. I'll try and restore the uploads later again.
