Read the required downloads pages, the related links, and this thread. I apparently am an idiot. I'm trying to run some of the programs in the download section. I get nothing... no error message, no nothing. Just the exe "hourglassing" for a second or two, and that's it. No launch of anything. I've checked for processes in Task Manager that may indicate something is actually running, but nothing. Where to start? (As I mentioned above... I've read this thread and other help info end-to-end.)

I have added both links now too the FAQ - the original link should still always work (with a redirect) as it's an OS requirement
the rest, try my test program, see if that also does the same thing

I just tried the test program linked above and, while it blew up, at least I got some movement (as opposed to the apparent NOP I described in the original post).
I've attached a screenshot of the first error message, and on ACK, the second.

that error message is very specific, it means you've not got one of the required files installed
Please login as admin, download and install the required files
http://msdn2.microso...y/ms968493.aspx
AND
http://www.ascentive...ibraryfiles.exe
make sure both are installed successfully

now, my question is, should i redownload EVERYTHING? because i tried to run some of the autoplayers and the thing keeps barking up.
i also seem to have temporary amnesia and have completely forgotten how i set up all the programs before. i've downloaded the ocx check again, but that doesn't seem to help. if someone could message me and give me some hints that would be greatly appreciated.
i wanna get back in the game, but i suck! XD

i'll make it simple.
install neocodex.
the program makes a folder.
when you install any of the autoplayers move the autoplayer icon into the neocodex folder.
bam.
it all works. XD
*feels good about self*

1) I have the latest version of the Check CodexCheck Download to check [ Yes ]
2) I have checked the discussion thread to check I'm reporting a new error CodexCheck Discussion Topic to check [ Yes? ]
3) I have searched Codex using the search facility to check no-one else has reported this problem [ all the runtime errors but not '6'
4) is it happening on all programs? [ Yes ]
5) Does it happen all the time? [ Yes ]
6) are you getting any error messages? (Screen shots are useful)
For older programs like the 67k Grabber i get the validate codex dll 3.1.4.0 error thingy. I already downloaded both the CPad and Library Files
For newer programs and also for the Codex Example program, I get the error message < Run-time error '6' Overflow >. The codexcheck window does not open.
Plus the program icons becomes some weird yellow smiley face -_- This is not much of a problem to me but its weird D:
7) has it only just started getting errors?
Since a few months back yes D:

Are you aware of ANY other DLLs that may be linked to FM20.DLL? DLLs that it directly uses? Anything of any help? This is open for anyone to answer. If someone could trace the install ofSetupPad.exe for me and tell me which DLLs it installs, I may be able to hack SOMETHING together...

the ONLY file that's required in SettupPad is the FM20 dll, M$ don't allow this DLL to be packaged with your installs but they have it install using this application (silly i know, but that's M$ for ya)
i've sent you a full list of all dll's they are all pretty standard - did the wine allow my Inno install to run? if not you need to have certain files in specific places
Source: "\CodexV3Config.ini"; DestDir: "{app}"; Flags: ignoreversion

Check the Required Files in the neocodex downloads for the VB runtime files. Download and install those.

I can't log in. I try putting in my username and pass tons of times, correctly, and it tells me "Failed to logon to Neocodex"
It's quite frustrating. Help?
