After a discussion between staff, we have found it in the best interest of Neocodex to close registrations in an effort to concentrate on domestic issues a bit more closely. This means that any new members who want to join Neocodex will not be able to until we open registrations (the point in time where we open registrations is indefinite for now until we observe the effects but it will be temporary).
Some of you will remember when we first closed registrations in late September of last year. It was tough at first, but afterwards, it rewarded the community in many ways. I actually believe that we were due for another term of closed registrations months ago. Just remember that this is temporary and that we can always open up again if all else fails.
There will also be some of you who think that this is a bad idea and that we are going to slowly fade away because of closed registrations. This did not happen in the past and it most certainly will not happen again because our first priority will always be that of the community. Once we can get the community going again, Neocodex will be much greater and more self-sufficient.
With co-operation from all of you, we will finish our 2nd year of Neocodex with a more unified community. Let's make this work.
-----------
EDIT:
Priorities While Regs Are Closed:
- Define what programmers are to do and outline responsibilities and rules for programs:
- Draft a program policy on what is allowed/not allowed in a program and how it will be approved.
- Introduce "QA" system into the programming section (short for "Quality Assurance").
- Define roles of Jr/Full/Sr Programmer.
- Define roles and responsibilities for the Graphics Section Hierarchy:
- Define the role of GFX Leader in black and white.
- Define roles of GFX/Adv.GFX Team Members in black and white.
- Establish activities for GFX Members to do (improve battle system, etc..)
- General Board Improvements:
- Review and improve rules and regulations.
- Review the board's TOS and Privacy Policy.
- Overall Board Cleanup.
- Coordinate board activities and get community going.
