Alright, you all remember my incident with school and Myspace right?

Well now, they are printing off things people said and the whole page of someones profile.

They are showing all teachers including ones who have been talked about...

I know for sure (myself being owner of the group against them) I will be confronted...

A bit of comfort/words of wisdom for Zero/MJ? :p

You are shooting yourself in the foot by making remarks about teachers. :( The school system is not democratic in the least and you may get in shit. :(

I would probably apologize and what-not, and remove it. ;)

Tell them that you can have your opinion about them and they can't do much about it. Also, they can't use it against you for being disrespectful I don't believe; it's not like you wrote a note about it in class, you were off of school property.

    Right to the teachers face:

It is none of your business to listen, read, or be concerned about what I say behind your back about you, or someone else.
I have the right to say whatever I like, about you, and the school.. and thats somthing you've got to learn to live with.

    Right to the dobbera's face:
Look here you f*cker, you better watch out.

Actually, you can get in legal trouble if you publish something demeaning.

    Especially if it's not true.

You're legally in the sh*t if you posted it as if it was fact, but really was untrue, eg:

Mr X likes to eat horse turd in his spare time

    However, if you said:

I reckon Mr X likes to eat horse turd in his spare time, he talks so much crap in class

Then there's not really a lot they can do.

However... they might not see it that way ;)

With mySpace, you can set your profile to private so only your friends can see it you know.. I wouldn't do anything about it, if someone confronts you, just say you can post any opinions you like on a website of yours.

Police are now going to mySpace to find graffiti taggers. Apparently, four boys were caught not because of posting, but thier tag names. They confessed and have to do some jail time.

Dude Zero.....I had one of these problems....It was on live journal....we had about 12 of us saying shit about our teachers. I didn't get confonted but one of my friends did.....He said "Look here teacher. I really don't give a monkeys ass about if you think I am a bad ass or anything. This is the way I feel about you so get over it, it's life you gotta deal with it." He just walks off and the teacher just never brings the topic up again....

Slander only pertains to published works, such as newspapers and books. It hasn't extended to online blogs just yet. Soon though, very very soon.

Isnt that only if its damaging to their career or monitary loses. Like, if the teacher loses their job because of somthing Zero said, then he could be in trouble. Or if the teacher has to seek therapy over what was said, then he can be in trouble because it damages the teachers life. But if its just some hurt feelings, im not really sure what they think they can do to you for it. I learned about similar cases in a government class last year. Very interesting stuff :D
    Anyway, Good Luck Zero/MJ :p
