The old joke that goes around...

What do you get when you cross Microsoft with Apple?

I don't know, what?

Microsoft.

^ Ditto. Works fine for me. Apple is prettier but is needlessly complicated

Theoretically yes, Microsoft is business wise and interface wise better. Without ms there wouldnt be so many porn sites and internet phonomenon. Though in my strong opinion, if you want the most stable linux distro, go with slackware.

Apple uses a better kernel, but they still need to focus on some more support. Then again, no problems usually means no support needs.

...isn't Linux an OS?

Windows, its a lot easier to use IMO.

Linux is a kernel basically. It comes with distros, or what some would call "linux oses" to it in certain flavors, like : Fedora, Slackware, Debian, KDE, Gnome, Mepis, Linspire (eww), Mandrake, Fedora, and Gentoo to name a few.

Then wouldn't it make more sense to put the Apple to Tiger? (The name for the OS)

exactly...no problems...no need for support
I still have my original power mac 6100 bought in 1995 and it still works. Only thing I ever had replaced was the battery. The newer machines aren't made as well as the older ones...Apple seems to like mass producing a good idea before they test everything out...the iMac G5's are a perfect example.

I've had a mac for so long... It was a G4, I have 3 of em. There so powerful. they have the best graphics and reason they have such little ram is becuase it doesn't have ALL THAT MIRCOSOFT SHIT ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I also have gnome as dual boot for my Computer. (linux distro).

And also... You need no programming languages made for mac. Cuase it COMES with xcode. Wich is so fricken easy to get used too. It has everything from inet that uses firfox headers to a built in number randomizer picture (yes it generates random numbers into pictures)

People like Mac's better for doing graphics (I don't know why... but I'm guessing that they're old people who are used to them or had a mac first instead of windows :p) I personally like microsoft :)

Windows for sure, come on guys you cant fight a monopoly!! no problems with windows, havent had a virus in like 3-4 years, extremly small ammounts of spyware such as "tracking cookies" that dont harm me any, simple OS and compatible with most games, Linux is a bit too complication and buggy IMO (tried 3 diff distro's, all had problems, no i didnt use SuSe so dont blame that)

Linux, they need better driver support from the bigger companies though. Microsoft has disgusted me for quite a while, until Windows XP; it's actually quite a reasonable operating system, although I still disagree with what Microsoft is trying to push. Aswell, I believe that Windows Vista/Longhorn will be a flop, or won't catch on until hardware catches up with it.

No comment to Apple, never liked them, and dislike them more now with their new Intel microprocessors.
