Linux is a kernel basically. It comes with distros, or what some would call "linux oses" to it in certain flavors, like : Fedora, Slackware, Debian, KDE, Gnome, Mepis, Linspire (eww), Mandrake, Fedora, and Gentoo to name a few....isn't Linux an OS?
Windows, its a lot easier to use IMO.

Apple uses a better kernel, but they still need to focus on some more support. Then again, no problems usually means no support needs.
