My suggestion is that you can edit the quanity of the rep given or taken away. That way you can take away or give more points depending on the severity. Also, make it so only Advanced Members, possibly private members and up can give or take rep to help prevent some abuse that is bound to happen.

Taking or adding 1 rep is high enough as it is.

If only Advance Members and Private Members could do it, then it would be restricting the community a lot of from being able to "rep" each other.

If Abuse happens, Admins can just easily take it away. ^^

Allowing them to add more than one at a time is a serious way to start abuse. A lot of time if someone pisses you off you will give them a negative rep, but then they will give you a neg rep for giving them a neg rep. Then it just turns into a big rep party.

Not really. If someone is going to abuse the system then making them do it one point at a time will just make it take longer.

Admins should limit the amount of rep that can be taken or given away based on ranks and the max points you can add or take away per day. They should also monitor the mod. If someone reaches there limit 4 days or so in a row someone should check it out. Also if someone's rep is climbing very fast there should be a trigger set that lets the admin know that something fishy is going on.

I think that since it's so new we should give it a chance as is. Later, if improvements are needed, the staff could add this.
