I'm so upset. My braces were supposed to come off today. Are they, no. They have been on me for 3 freaking years so I'm thinking that I'm just going to get married in them.

On the way to school this morning I told my dad, "Knowing my luck, these things won't come off today". What happens? They don't come off.

My hygenist told me that if cursing was allowed in the office, she would be. And that if pitching a fit would get them off of me, she would do that. She was not happy, actually, possibly more upset than I was.

Now I get to keep these suckers on for another month and get to have the joy of telling all my friends, "Nope, they're still on," tomorrow.

I had so many things planned around today. I was getting my license after my dentist appointment so I would have nice, straight teeth for the picture. Now, I'm still getting it, I will just return after they're off and say I lost my license so I can get a new picture

I also was going to a job interview Friday. Not anymore, I'm going to move that for after they're off.

I was also supposed to take Spring pictures tomorrow. Again, not anymore. I don't want to remember these things more than I have to.

Maybe they can get off sooner then 1 month? Why the hygenist extend time to one more month anyways?

Aww don't worry, braces on girls is cute...on guys it's very blegh. I got mine off two years ago and I feel your pain. I hated having them tightened. Just keep doing what they tell you, they're control freaks so if they think you fear/respect/do what they tell you, the sooner your braces come off.

Mmm my day was amazing. My mom didn't think to check what she needed from Drivers Ed in a Box so we went up to the driving place, waited in line for a good 45 minutes only to get to the front to realize we need a certificate from the box. Thanks mom.

And it was because I had a tiny space inbetween 2 of my top teeth. The thing that makes me soooo mad is that a) they put them on me later than most people get braces and b) the dentist has called me a liar when it comes to me wearing my bands or not. I don't know how many times I have left the dentist in tears, not because of being in pain, but because of how much hate I hold towards my dentist. aslfjs

I don't know why people hate braces so much. I don't care if people have them and when I get them I won't mind it that much. Unless I can't have gum and stuff similar to that, then I'd beat up my dentist

Just be prepared when they first are taken off.. Most of the time, usually the braces will smell terrible.. at least that's what I've heard

And Haha. I had to wear mines like 2 months more after I was suppose to take them off. It was my fault though, didn't wear the dam rubber bands.
Now I gota wear like a boxer's mouth piece when I go to sleep.
My dentist kicked ass, he would always tell me when it would hurt and when it wouldnt

lol i almost never put on my bands when i had braces XD. but even when you get braces off, you'll still have retainers for a few months. but at least then, you can take them off anytime you want.

I had braces in 7th grade, and hated them. I don't think dentists know how to be nice... Well, hopefully you'll get them off soon still! It's the luck of the irish...*cough*

Ouch that sucks. Getting my braces off was delayed a few days, but nothing near a month .

I share your pain.. sort of. I have to wear my retainer night and day for another month instead of just at night :\.

Thanks you guys. My day brightened up when I went to my SAT prep class (strange. i know) because our teacher was sooooo funny. Ahhh I was laughing the whole class.

Not to mention I came home and my mom had made my favorite cookies

My teeth sound worse than yours but I won't ever get braces, atleast not in the near future.

Braces? I had those for a good amount of time, mainly because I had screwed up my teeth from an accident in the 7th grade. I got them out about a year later, only to have problems again. They ended up having to put them on again until December of my Freshmen year in High school. I really hated them, and I totally understand how annoying they can be.

Three years is pretty insane. I can't imagine having to wear them for THAT long . Though apparently people can manage, such as Joe, whos had them for eight years. Damn teeth and the fact they usually don't end up straight through adolescense.

My appointment to get them off is on the 10th, so just six days away Of course with my luck, they won't come off and I will have to wait longer They told me last month that it IS possible for them to say they can't come off, but not likely. I guess its more likely than they thought xD

And like someone else said, braces on girls are hot.

Ha, I only had mine for 1 and a half years and I'm suppost to get them off in a month or 2.

I have braces also oO hate them. My sister only had 1 year of braces. Only thing bad about braces is food gets stuck in them and when you get hit in the mouth you bleed easily.
