So Im sitting here watching TV and IMing...
All of the sudden I notice this 1 inch spider crawling down my window blinds...I start yelling like a little girl and it falls into my curtains.
I get my MagLite flashlight, long ruler, and a piece of paper and go on a spider hunting spree. After 10 minutes of rummaging through my blinds and curtains, I find it.
I am about to kill it when suddenly it looks at me. I swear the spider looked at me.
I realized the spider was afraid of me just as much as I was afraid of him.
So now I decide to try and get it on my paper so I can go put it outside. It didn't want to go on my paper...
I ended up following him along the wall until it reached the balcony. I opened the door and let it out.
On the way out it stopped, turned around, almost as if to say thanks, and then went on outside.

At one point I almost accidently killed him with my window blinds ><
So yea, thats the story of the spider and me.

Weird story yea =/

That's cute ^_^ I always try to take spiders outside. After all they do more good than harm in my opinion. I try not to kill unless it's nessesary...

I just read up a bunch about spiders...yesh.

The most dangerous spiders us Californians have to worry about are:
Hobo Spiders -Brown, cause necrosis, not fatal, doesnt attack unless threatened
Black Widow Spiders- not dangerous unless threatened
Tarantula - not dangerous at all despide popular belief.
Yellow Sac Spider - white spider, lives in households, can be dangerous.

The scarriest one in north america is the Brown Recluse. Like the hobo spider it causes necrosis(death of tissue), and its venom has a 1.5% fatality rate.

The most dangerous spiders are located in South Africa, China, Brazil, and Australia. Sorry Australia people :(

I swear I bonded with that spider! I hope I didn't afflict any injuries on it.

And by the way killing a spider is the worst thing you can do. Spiders compete for territory and when you kill one you're essentially taking your chances with another one.

Same thing happened with me accept without the girlish screams and the hunting I was about to squash this whiteish spider that was crawling on my couch instead I actually for the first time didn't feel like killing it. O_o

I ended up picking it up with a magazine and putting it outside it didn't turn around to say thanks though it just crawled away. :(

This spider is probably one of the three most dangerous spiders in the world and is regarded by some to be the most dangerous.

Anyways nice story *cough* sounds wierd but atleast you overcame your girly fear :p

EDIT: I remember one time at a cottage we rented for the summer there was a huge spider running along the dock so I went over and stepped on him with my bare feet :p I think it was only a bit smaller then that poisonous one you guys are talking about up there.

If they fight for territory you are having to deal with the bigger of the two spiders. If you kill one then their is a 50/50 chance that you killed the bigger of the two.

Also some spiders venom have a 1.5% fatality rate, but we all have a 100% fatality rate whenever we attack them.....

moving on from sounding insensitive. Spiders are not all that bad. I will normally kill them all in my room though just so that I don't have to worry about them getting on me at night. If I see them any where else I just let them go on about their business.

I don't squish spiders .. I get someone else to do it for me. I scream like a girl and call anyone.. ^_^

But that's cute with the spider going outside .. :) . -nods- I would do that. -cough-
