It's correct right now.. but I wonder how long it'll last?

Good good, Wikipedia took some of the stuff and rewrote it, now calling the hackers "a group of malicious users", as I originally hoped it'd say.

It's over. Nothing more. I'm pretty sure they've healed their black, broken hearts.

The lawyer must have attended a pretty crappy law school in order to pass off letters like that.

First mistake: "It is not NeoPets normal practice..."
Should be: "It is not NeoPets' normal practice..."

Second mistake: "As well as hacked and defaced other sites across the Internet."
The Mistake: Where's the subject in that "sentence"? As a single sentence, it looks horrible. It's just like me saying:

"Hello, I went to work today. And came back home. And ate some cheese. And then went to bed."

    Not exactly legal-letter material. :p

What I find funny though: "Please confirm within five business days that your son will comply..."

Who says he will comply? They seem so sure of themselves in these letters. As well, if they know he will comply, then why do they require confirmation?

In short: What an idiot. I can write better letters than that and I'm not a lawyer.

    :o

I never even noticed that. Something Chase brought to my attention is that their email is not [email protected]. I'm not sure about it, because my email was delivered successfully, but in the back of my mind I did wonder if it was fake or not.

They FedExed it too :p Pretty sure it's real though.

They couldn't find my ISP because I was using a true anonymous IP, and it allowed me to login to Neopets.

There is no way to completely mask your ISP when browsing the 'net. No matter how much of an Annonymous IP you use. There is still a way to get it.

Retards? No. They just have better things to do with their time than go after 'petty' scams, they're going after the major illegitimate players, which they should be.

    That makes a third...
I guess the sentances in the letter weren't very well portrayed which kinda lead to a little humour, but they're doing what they should be.

Well you can actually hide your ISP its not THAT difficult most proxies dont work because they have a max limit and they dont allocate enough memory to support complete proxying. I knocked up a proxy server on a 2003 Server Edition at college and run through it at home, well for 3 days my internet was runnging from "Shabba Internet Supplys" so yes you can hide your ISP.
