My mom can turn the comp on and off and can also check her email (although it takes forever b/c she reads everything on the page, including the ads so each page takes her like 10 minutes). Now my dad can only turn on the computor..



How many of your parents can actually use a computor?

Uhhhh, my mom can probably use the computer better than 90% of the members here (she's running Slackware). Never met my Dad, I'm assuming he doesn't know what a computer is. lol

My parents are very bad at using computers. They do things like type complete URLs in search bars and other silly things like that.

One time I uninstalled the SBC Yahoo DSL browser and they said 'Hey.. where'd our internet go?', and I had to introduce them to Firefox and they seemed pretty lost but got the hang of it after a while.

But hey, if they don't want to listen to me, it's their fault .

Ermm my dad can go through most programs and play some games on it, he isn't to shabby although he hates them.

My mom is weird. She knows how to do a whole bunch of things (she can wrtie out html code which I never knew until recently) but freezes up as soon as she is introduced to something different without being notified xD

My mom is decent. She can trouble shoot most stuff. And she runs firefox. But sometimes she makes me wonder.....

My dad never used a computer, my mom used one for her university and can install stuff and other easy tasks but that's about it.

My dad lives in a study with two computers. They are his life. Consequently he's pretty good with them ...He also hisses when natural light falls upon his skin.

My mum used to be absolutely hopeless, but she had to get out of cardiac and was sort of forced with computers, so she's learning now .

My mom can't do anything with computers, and my dad knows more about OS's and the actual Hardware than me, but I'm better with applications, programming, and everything having to do with the internet

And my Dad works with computers, but he's doesn't know about many modern programs or anything.

Both my mom and dad can. My mom is a novice, and turns to me for help, and my dad is a genius, I learn from him. My mom doesnt learn from my dad because they are divorced

My dad works on computers for a living, so he's pretty good with them. No "Aw damn, the spyware must of downloaded all that porn!" excuses for me.

My father has a computer engineering degree from ITT Tech...My mom can check mailm and surf the web...

My mother can barely check her email/send emails, and my dad can go lurk in his boating forums.

My step brother is a genius with computer knowledge. My father is moderately good with basic windows XP tasks. My mom only knows how to check her emails, and my other siblings all use the computer very well.

my mom and my dads are ok with computers, but I know more than they ever will haha. Its kinda cool cause your parents dont know how or what your doing on the computer most of the time.

Computer illiterate parents. And I mean it when I say it. My mom wouldn't know how to turn on a computer. And the few times my dad ever uses the computer is to check the news.

My mum is hopeless when it comes to computers she can turn it on (not sure about off )and thats about all she can do. When she wants to goto a website about 90% of the time she will either get me or my brother to goto that site for her

uh my dad is pro at the comp, he builds em, does everything, but one thing, he SUCKS at typing

My mom is really good at typing, but I think i have become better.... just bearly, and I dont remember the last time shes had a comp related question... so both of my parents are good on the comp

My mom is good enough to run a business on ebay. I taught her HTML to use in her auctions.

My dad only can check email on a computer, nothing else really.
