Traditionally, asians have shorter statures than caucasians, but that was due to generations upon generations of malnutrition (blame it on your rice fetish) building upon each other. It sucks that its in your genes now.

Then there's exceptions like Yao Ming :p

Truth? What about all those diseases that break out over there but not in the west? SARS, Avian flu, etc.

It killed like a hundred people in a year even though Flu does that to us a day. Kills a hundred people I mean.

And the reason for alot of bad outbreaks I would assume is to do with poverty, I mean alot of these cases break out in poorer countries and spread.

What determines height other than genetics?

Hey - all I can tell you to do is relax. Well, that and don't drink coffee. And don't work out. Okay so maybe that wasn't all I could tell you o.O. But yeah, coffee stunts your growth, as well as working out. Working out naturally tightens your muscles, and therefore actually causing you to grow shorter and stunts growth as well. My cousin from my dad's side (the tall side of the family) is three weeks younger than I, and we've been competing for height for as long as I can remember. To be concise, I'm winning. To be less concise, he drinks coffee, works out, and takes medicine/follows chinese remedies that are supposed to help him grow but don't.

But as I first mentioned, you should relax. You've got another 5 years before you stop growing. Some people have their growth spurts early, some late, some right on time, but that's something you'll have to wait for to see.

Well last year I was 13 and I was like 4"11-5"1 I believe. My mom starting seeing this chiropractor, and he also handles dietary supplements (see Strypp's topic), so he gave me some supplements to help me with my growth spurs and in the summer I grew to 5"3.

I know I am going to grow a lot in high school because my cousin was the same way, really short in 8th grade but when he went to high school he grew a lot.
