I think it's worse than most people here appear to think. First of all, Cara's mom wrote 'Your secrets're safe in here. -mom xox' in her diary, and still she read all of Cara's personal diary entries? That is disgustingly low. And I don't think she was doing it because she cares either. She even had the nerve to tell Cara's dad all of her secrets. I don't think this is justifiable. If she was doing it because she cared, she wouldn't tell anybody else about her daughter's personal thoughts.

Ever had a diary? Well I do/did. Yes, that's how sad Iam, I keep a diary and write alot of personal shit in it.
If I know you alot, you're most probably in it, give or take a small paragraph, but in it.
I'd write EVERYTHING. I started one at the begining of the year, roughly.
I'd write about my love life (not that I have much of one to begin this all with, mind you), my friends, family, favorite things, DEEPEST secrets, etc.
Just tonight I found out that my mother's been reading my diary almost every night and telling my dad all the dirt.

That bitch.
I feel so fucking violated.

It's almost midnight, I can't sleep. I'm re-reading my diary. It kills me knowing my mother knows this stuff. Man am I gonna give it to her tomorrow. Seriously.
You have no idea how upset Iam. That's the first time I swore on this board, too!
Im only half way threw and I wrote soo many things I wanna cry at the fact she knows them.
And the ironic part is she gave me the freakin book for Christmas and wrote 'Your secrets're safe in here. -mom xox'

People can't even trust their own family members these days. I know how you feel Cara, trust me. I felt violated when my own mother set a keylogger on my computer to get my MSN password just so she could see who was on my friends list. She deleted nearly half of my list, which was about a year ago, and I've never seen those people since. They were some of my best friends on the internet. When I came home and saw my list pratically empty, she came up to me and said, "you shouldnt have assholes like that on your list, I taught them a lesson." Exactly those words, no lies. I bought my computer with my own money, and no matter where I'm using it from, it doesn't give her the right to go sneaking through my stuff on it.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation Cara. Hopefully you will get over it. Only time can tell.
