How many more cars are there than planes? That's a ridiculous comparison.I think I heard somewhere you are more likely to get in a car accident on the way to the airport than have the airplane crash and burn.
Found it, Click. Scroll down a bit and you will see a table, that shows your odds. It talks more about volcanoes than anything, but you get the point.

Thats the pointthere are way more cars that can engage in accidents, it's not a reasonable comparison.

I dont understand the point you are trying to make. Yeah, I know there are more cars, and thats what increases the probability of a fatal accident. Planes are relatively safe to fly in, with the odds of them crashing or going down really slim. Here, Ill get another link and a quote for you.yea, i'm just explaining that the comparison itself is not plausible, there are about 700,000,000 cars in the world, compared to a tiny number of airplanes.
In their analysis, the researchers considered scheduled domestic passenger operations of 10 major U.S. airlines and travel by cars, light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles on rural interstate highways—the main type of roadway that would be used as an alternative to flying and a type of road that is particularly safe per distance traveled. Their calculations showed that driving the length of a typical nonstop flight—1,157 km or 719 miles—is 65 times as risky as flying. In fact, "for this type of flying to become as risky as driving, disastrous airline incidents on the scale of those of Sept. 11 would have to occur about once a month," said Sivak, head of UMTRI's Human Factors Division.

The comparison says its 65 times safer to fly to your destination than drivei'm saying if you took an equal ammount of the two, and compared them it would be a more reasonable result. (ie: monitored 10,000 of each and if they got into an accident.)
i'm not disputing what the information provides, or your point. i'm just explaining that the comparision is not completely accurate.

I would have typed out the exact same thing, but this way seems more effortless.I love being on a plane. Feels like I'm in a dollhouse.
