I want to get my school certificate then do a course on computers which goes onto my HSC (High school certificate). Goto tafe (like college) and study computer science. Join a medium sized computer company and work my way up the ranks. Settle down get married and have kids at about 28. After i've got some reputation around the programming network i start my own buisness and see how it goes. Retire at around about 57 - 60 and bathe in all the cash i earned from computer programming :p

That's a good life Raui. Some people don't think that clearly, such as working up the ranks of a company, some people think they're going to start making all their money up front which is very unlikely to happen. As for my life goals, things have changed recently. I wanted to become a veterinarian but I'm not so sure after working with some of the doctors on my own. I think I may go into engineering or some sort of job that involves computers. I would like to be married a little bit after college and have children in my late twenties or early thirties. They say the earlier you have children, the longer your children live. I'm not sure if I would want to retire early but I would wish to have a decent house, not a mansion, and a boat. Or do I want to own an island and name it after myself?

I am not quite sure, to be honest. I may go live in Atlanta with my sister and get a job at a place called McMasters. They are pretty much a company that deals mostly with hardware that they don't MAKE any hardware, but they buy it wholesale and then resell it. My brother in-law is a manager-type person there and has worked there for a few years and can afford a 6000+ square foot house in a high-end neighborhood.

Pretty much what you said Raui, just that I will be going to OSU to take CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) and that I already have started working for a medium-sized technology/computer firm. Worked my way up to lead intern with a pay of $13 an hour after tax, plus I am still the youngest employee there.

I am doing segments of my Year 10 school certificate this year. I want to go well in those. Upon completing these, I want to go on and do various science subjects such as biology and chemistry also legal studies. In two more years I am going to rapidly drop time spent on my computer and in my final year of school I am not going to go on it at all.

In my HSC I plan on getting a UAI of 99.6 or higher. This should get me in to study medicine at Sydney University. Upon entering in to University, I wish to start my own programming business - only small and also take a part time job at a local store.

After leaving university I want to work until I am 30 in somebody elses company, and when I reach 30 create my own business. Perhaps a clinic or something of the sort. I wish to work hard on this business until I am about 40.

I then want to do what my father does currently and invest in other businesses. Use the money I have earn to make some investments that should pay off when I hit about 50. At about 55 I will stop working at these businesses yet still own a percentage to get an income.

I wish to meet a girl at 25 and hopefully marry at 28. I then hope to have two children. Hopefully an older sister and a younger brother.

I plan on spending my days through university on a unit by the beach with a couple of mates, and then when I hit about 25 get my own house. I want to retire somewhere by the beach, and also give my children the opportunity of growing up next to the beach so they can surf etc.

Yes, I have thought about my future a lot ^_^

I really wanted to go to College and study in graphics design. But I'm really starting to doubt it will happen. I'm starting to realize that I'm not as good as I thought I was, and that I'm still not good at graphics. I also totally fucked my life up when I got expelled from school. I dont even know if I'm going back to highschool.

Anyway.. I really wanted to be an accomplished web designer, in advertising, for Google. I would wanna have a wife and kids, maybe 2 or 1. I dont know why a lot of guys dont find themselves getting married O_o I actually really like the idea of getting married and having kids.

But eh. Knowing me, I will probably die at around 20 or 30 from something.

There are too many general graphics designers. I suggest you do something unique like work on animation. Learn animation like that in movies such as Ice Age, Toystory etc. That would lead to a lot of career opportunities and also looks fun and exciting.

In the near future, I want to be the only freshman to make it on the Varsity soccer team. But a little later, my first job will be working for my school district by pretty much fixing all their computer problems (my neighbor would be my boss). I would eventually move on to what I really want to do. I have narrowed to down to 2 things. Computer graphics designing (my uncle used to do it) or Athletic trainer, where I study Sports medicine and pretty much become a doctor for a specific team. While I'm doing one of those (or going to college for them), I will but a house with one of my friends who actually knows how to take care of a house. I would like to get married somewhere in my 20's and have kids in my late 20's. Me, my wife, and two kids will move to either northern Michigan or Florida. I want to retire at about 55 (somewhere around there) and have a summer house in Northern Michigan (traverse city to be exact).

That sounds like a good idea ^_^. I might actually do some work on that in the near (?) Future. Thanks for mentioning that Alex :).

I plan on graduating high school with some computer camp training under my belt and go to college for animation or 3D model design for games like L2, ow WoW.

After I get done with all that, ill work at some game company for a while and maybe even start my own someday :) I would also like, other than start a game company, make several small businesses before I start my game company.

After I achieve all of my economic goals, I would love to find my dream girl (which rarely happens) and settle down with her and have a few children. Live out my days with her, gaining money from my businesses and live the rest of my life happy.

But things change, so, of coarse, a lot of this might not happen or then again it might. All I do is try my hardest and hope for the best.

I'm too young to decide what I want to do, I can't even imagine the idea of having children when I'm older, that seems like a lifetime away and I have alot of living to do before I get to that stage. Right I don't want to ever "settle down", that seems like such an insipid existance to a young person, but I do want to get married when I'm in my mid to late twenties perhaps. I wouldn't call getting married settling down, as to me, my lifestyle wouldn't change, other than not being a bachelor anymore.

However I have an interest in writing, photography in music. After college I would persue a career in one of those fields, most likely not the music business.

My goals are somehow shadowed. I am torn between the frantic life of a firefighter or a even more frantic life of being an Astrophysicist.

My firefighter career is pretty darn simple. I'm a sophmore (incoming Junior) and I have been carrying a 3.8 - 4.2 GPA. I passed all three of my AIMS tests with an "Exceeds", So if I carry atleast a 3.0 for my next 2 years then Hands down I get a scholorship to any university in Arizona. I would go to ASU, earn my 4 year degree while being a Peoria firefighter.

Now, If I choose to be an Astrophysicist, I would have to earn my Masters in order to get any sort of Professor job. I would LOVE to go to UofF, then earn my PhD at Cambridge or something. It would be a long difficult road, but hey it would be worth it.

Absolutely no clue what I'm doing for a career, considered being a bartender or a police officer, maybe a personal fitness trainer or a message therapist. Recently I've just really wanted a stress free job. The whole computer market is flooded, if I was born 20 years ago I would probably pursue computer programming for a career. Telephony is quite empty and is mission critical, maybe I'll do work with VoIP. Suggestions? I don't really need a lot of money, never really been "greedy" or money-oriented for that matter, just live with my girlfriend, get married, make enough money and maybe have a couple mini-sockopen's running around.

What i've wanted to achieve from my life has been constantly changing through-out the past year. From graphics designer (funny, I know :p) to lawyer, and all the way to being an investment banker. At the moment, I have no clue what I want to persue as a career, but it seems i'm swaying to something sporty :p

Other things such as marriage and retirement have been left completely out of my thought trail. I'm more of a 'hit life as it comes' kind of person, I don't plan ahead often, and I don't like to put pressure on myself to have to achieve certain grades in a subject if I want to continue persuing that career.
