Thanks Hydrogen. And Simon- sorry for bringing up the General Disctoolongtowrite thing up I don't meant to sound like a bitch about it, but I remembered that old topic.
Anyhow- much loves and many hugs to staff doing the boring job of moving topics. Having fun are we?

AHHH! You killed the tech support forum! Well merged it at least...
http://www.neocodex....hp?showforum=10
That is a merged version of all the OSes in the previous tech support area, is it not?
Not a good idea, mixing that all into a clutter is quite troublesome. People now would have to click the topic and read it briefly to actually know which OS it is, or have the poster include the OS clearly in the name. Quite troublesome, seeing as people trying to fix up Linux, might have similar hardware/driver issues as people on Windows. Having to put something like "[LINUX]" or "[WIN XP]" or "[MAC OS X]" in front of a topic title would just plain get annoying.
The Mac and Linux sections were far too inactive to warrant their own section. There will be no need to include an [OS TAG] in front of each topic name, but rather would only be useful if you're requiring help on a Linux/Mac system, and considering that's so infrequently, I highly doubt it's going to annoy anybody. It's like the Programming Chat Area, everyone has grown used to posting the name of the language they require help with in the topic name, and it works well as opposed to us needing a subforum for each common language people could need help with.
Nonetheless, remember; if it doesn't work out, we'll just revert it back to the old system.

Having fun are we?
My arm hurts. I managed to bring it down from 27 pages to 9, but without any help, it's getting boring.

I love the new layout. It's a whole lot less cluttered - it almost seems like some boards are missing! But they're all there of course.
for the staff!
