My aunt owns several funeral homes, one of which is right in town. This particular funeral home is and has been closed down for quite some time. There have been some very strange occurrences in this place. I'll start off telling you what happened the first time I went there, and then I'll tell you what happened today.

The first time I went there, I went with my aunt, my dad, my little brother, and my friend. We went with audio recording equipment and cameras hoping to catch something on film or audio. We didn't have any luck with either, aside from some orbs here and there, but those don't necessarily indicate paranormal activity. We also received one strange audio recording.

Well, we had a few personal experiences. The strange things only seemed to happen in the basement. We had all of the lights off and were using a flashlight, and me and my friend stood at the bottom of the basement steps. Right in front of us is the entrance to the other areas of the basement, and that is where the strange sounds came from.

At first, we heard scratching and scraping coming from the furthest area in the basement, but after asking some questions out loud we seemed to get some more action. We heard footsteps in the dark, and at this point we had enough and decided to go back upstairs. As we walked up the basement steps, we heard several loud banging noises from the basement. We left the recorder down there to see if we could catch anything.

After about 15 minutes, we went back down and grabbed the recorder, then went back upstairs in the lounge area and listened. Nothing really stood out until we got to the spot on the tape where we were asking questions. There wasn't anything unusual on the tape until after we went back upstairs. We began hearing the sound of metal hitting against something hollow. It was pretty strange, but we couldn't explain it. It was about 1 AM so we decided to call it a night.

As we were leaving, the cops pulled in, assuming we were trespassing. We told him what we were doing there, and he told us, and I'm quoting this verbatim: "Well, I'm going to tell you something that happened to me here, but if anyone asks me I'll just deny it."

He explained to us how he received a call one night because the security alarms at the funeral home went off, so he went over and when he pulled in the upstairs light was on. He went inside and walked through the place, checking for intruders. The door was locked when he got there, so he checked the windows and everything. There was nothing strange, so he went upstairs to turn off the light, and went and looked through the basement.

He said as he was walking through, he walked past the embalming room where the bodies are worked on, and he seen a bubbling tank, and the table on which the bodies were laid there was a white sheet and operating tools. He went through the rest of the basement, and then when he walked back past the embalming room he noticed that the sheet and tools were gone, and the machine was no longer bubbling. It was empty.

He said after that, he hauled ass back out, locked up, and got in his car. When he was leaving, he noticed that the upstairs light was back on.

Now, I'm going to tell you what happened to me today. My dad and me were there because my aunt asked me to cut the grass for her. We went in through the garage and went in the basement. There was some type of record player down there that was used for music played at funerals, and my dad flipped a switch on it, and it turned on. The noise that came out of that player was indescribable. It was like opera, but also it sounded like a very low-pitched murmur... It was barking terrible.

As the "music" was playing, we heard a loud crash come from upstairs. My dad got on his cell phone and called my mom, and held his phone not even 2 inches away from the speaker, and she couldn't hear a thing. That was the strangest part.

After she said she couldn't hear it, we said bark this and turned off the music, then left. I didn't even finish cutting the grass.

Has anything along these lines ever happened to you?

Yes. No one believes me, but my Grandmother's ghost appeared to me a few weeks after she died, and I told her I was sorry and she smiled, I turned around, turned back, and she was gone, but I was happy and I think she was too.

Weirdest thing that's ever happened to me/only thing.

I forgot to mention that there is a desk right beside the record player which contains human remains (ashes) and grave markers.

I'm sorry to disturb this thread with my story, but I will.

I was at my girlfriend's birthday at Spaghetti Warehouse and had been drinking a bit. We were packing up to leave, so I decided to use the restroom. I enter the bathroom and two kids with cameras are in there. I take a piss, and while I'm washing my hands, I hear, "...Yeah, you see the orb?..." Then they looked at me and asked if I wanted to see a ghost. I said sure, and I turned off the light. They flashed a picture of the camera at the mirror. They then showed me the "ghost". It was their flash. That was the orb.

    Continue on.

I was sitting alone in my room before on my computer, window closed, door closed, then on the relection of my TV screen I could see a 'white figure' behind me. When I turned around there was nothing there, and when I looked back at the TV it was gone. That's about it.

Any orb is most likely dust or a reflection of some sort.

My cousins live in a house that used to be occupied by a VERY elderly man who had lost his wife about 10 yeard before his death, and he completely boarded (not litteraly) himself up inside his house until his death. Appearently after my cousins and their family moved in, the kid were to young to think anything of it, but my aunt and uncle started noticing things being moved, and noises at night that were actually loud enough to wake them up. One night my aunt woke up and saw a spirit of the old man at the end of the bed and he was whispering "Get out of my house". She shook my uncle to try to wake him up, and the spirit then appearently shook my uncles leg, which did wake him up. My uncle yelled "Leave us alone", and the spirit dissappeared, and hasnt been back to the house. The creepy thing about it is that my little cousin who was 6 or so at the time got up the next morning and asked her mom who the old man looking into her room last night was.

I havent actually heard this story from them, because none of my cousins know about any of that stuff. My aunt called my mom the next day and told her the story, and my uncle vouched for it also. My mom told me the story and made me promise not to tell my cousins about it, because that would be really freaky for them.

Children always seem to be sensitive to these types of things. Animals, too.

My dog won't come in my room for some reason. When there's nobody in my room, he'll sit right outside the door and bark and growl into my room with the hair on his neck standing on end. My house is about 200 years old now, and an old man passed away in this house.

Typically if anyone notices paranormal activity its children, but they think the person is really there 1we8.gif

Dude, I would feel scared if I were you too. With the way your dog is acting 1we8.gif

That was a good episode. They caught that black thing moving, they all saw it/heard it, and it gave me goosebumps watching that show.

last night something suspicious happened. Don't think it was anything paranormal but still its was weird.

I was playing my PSP before bed last night when I herd the sound of rushing leaves. Last night there was no wind. I stopped playing my PSP and kept listening to it. It would stop and start like somebody was walking then stopped to look at something. I decided to see if it was a rat. I got up on my desk and looked out the window. My neighbours flood-light was on so i could see everything on my driveway perfectly. I kept hearing it and the place the sound was comming from there was nothing on the bricks. Because of the way teh sound kept stopping and starting and because there was no wind i knew that it was something living so i decided to belt my wall. i herd it a new sound immediatly after it was a loud crackling sound and it sounded like it zoomed up the hill. As it was all the dogs were going psyco up the road. The craclking sound only lasted about 5 seconds after is started to sound like it was going up the road.

I don't know what it was but its still got me thinking.

    T_T.. dont go there.
When i was young i used to live in a house and there was a bush right next to it. Sometimes with my friends we would go out there late a night and play commandos. One time they were chasing me around. I hid while they ran away. I got out of the spot i was hiding in and sat on a tree stump for a few minutes. As i was about to get up i heard a loud growling behind me (sounded like a big dog) I turned around and saw a dark shadow running away into the bush. This was about 4 years ago when i was 9 so you could understand i was scared as absolute shit! So i didn't even care about the game anymore i just screamed as loud as i could and everyone ran to me. I told them what happened and pointed to where the creature ran into the bush. We split up into 5 groups of two people and searched all over the bush but we couldn't find anything. My friend told his dad and his dad said that one of his friends heard something like a big dog growling but his friend was scared of dogs so he didn't look back to find out what it was he just ran. For the time that i was living at that house i would never go into the bush late at night or alone at anytime again.

Mason, the part about the guard tongue.gif
Maybe there is somebody living in the place, but knows it fairly well so they are able to get in and out of a room easily, and would be able to pull off something like what the guard described.

Or I'm just completely wrong tongue.gif

    Interesting though

We got some crazy little girl that lives in our hallway in our house apparently, my mum, dad and sister have all seen her, but I haven't yet.

The hallway does seem dark for some reason, but if I ever see her, I'm charging her rent.
