The first time I went there, I went with my aunt, my dad, my little brother, and my friend. We went with audio recording equipment and cameras hoping to catch something on film or audio. We didn't have any luck with either, aside from some orbs here and there, but those don't necessarily indicate paranormal activity. We also received one strange audio recording.
Well, we had a few personal experiences. The strange things only seemed to happen in the basement. We had all of the lights off and were using a flashlight, and me and my friend stood at the bottom of the basement steps. Right in front of us is the entrance to the other areas of the basement, and that is where the strange sounds came from.
At first, we heard scratching and scraping coming from the furthest area in the basement, but after asking some questions out loud we seemed to get some more action. We heard footsteps in the dark, and at this point we had enough and decided to go back upstairs. As we walked up the basement steps, we heard several loud banging noises from the basement. We left the recorder down there to see if we could catch anything.
After about 15 minutes, we went back down and grabbed the recorder, then went back upstairs in the lounge area and listened. Nothing really stood out until we got to the spot on the tape where we were asking questions. There wasn't anything unusual on the tape until after we went back upstairs. We began hearing the sound of metal hitting against something hollow. It was pretty strange, but we couldn't explain it. It was about 1 AM so we decided to call it a night.
As we were leaving, the cops pulled in, assuming we were trespassing. We told him what we were doing there, and he told us, and I'm quoting this verbatim: "Well, I'm going to tell you something that happened to me here, but if anyone asks me I'll just deny it."
He explained to us how he received a call one night because the security alarms at the funeral home went off, so he went over and when he pulled in the upstairs light was on. He went inside and walked through the place, checking for intruders. The door was locked when he got there, so he checked the windows and everything. There was nothing strange, so he went upstairs to turn off the light, and went and looked through the basement.
He said as he was walking through, he walked past the embalming room where the bodies are worked on, and he seen a bubbling tank, and the table on which the bodies were laid there was a white sheet and operating tools. He went through the rest of the basement, and then when he walked back past the embalming room he noticed that the sheet and tools were gone, and the machine was no longer bubbling. It was empty.
He said after that, he hauled ass back out, locked up, and got in his car. When he was leaving, he noticed that the upstairs light was back on.
Now, I'm going to tell you what happened to me today. My dad and me were there because my aunt asked me to cut the grass for her. We went in through the garage and went in the basement. There was some type of record player down there that was used for music played at funerals, and my dad flipped a switch on it, and it turned on. The noise that came out of that player was indescribable. It was like opera, but also it sounded like a very low-pitched murmur... It was barking terrible.
As the "music" was playing, we heard a loud crash come from upstairs. My dad got on his cell phone and called my mom, and held his phone not even 2 inches away from the speaker, and she couldn't hear a thing. That was the strangest part.
After she said she couldn't hear it, we said bark this and turned off the music, then left. I didn't even finish cutting the grass.
Has anything along these lines ever happened to you?
