lol the battery wasn't the start of that... the iPod is ruined for the most part.. the hd is still good and the shell is good but its missing all the 3 prong connectors that make the screen and audio work. cuz i broke them off.

I just opened up my mini yesterday.. every single peice out.. I was mostly concerened with the click wheel, 'cause the middle button (select) doesn't work... sadly I wasn't able to fix it, but I didn't make it worst. I was able to assemble it back together.

Most mp3 players warranty does cover battery replacement. Apple's warranty does infact cover the battery. Since you opened it however you have void it tongue.gif Looks cool inside though doesn't it. If you still have it would you mind taking some more pictures biggrin.gif.

When you bought a PC *pre built* their was a sticker on the case that said warranty voided if opened. Also if you did open it and saw the power supply their is a sticker that says the same thing. Same thing goes for the hard drive and the optical drives. Almost every piece of electronic has a void if open sticker or clause in their warranty.

yep they wouldnt want someone tampering or trying to modify their products .
And secondly, if you ever did that , they wouldnt wanna be responsible for any consequences.

Haha... your iPod is trashed now, unless you want to buy some replacement parts off of eBay... I suggest buy a broken iPod, and scrap it, then sell the rest for parts.
