NORTON AND MCAFEE HAV SUM PROBS.

well If you Install Mcafee Virus scan 8 and Norton System works (includes virus scanner) ...Norton Detects McAfee as a Milacious Code and a virus soooo anything I can do..besides uninstallin one of em

its called sompatition.....norton intentionally does it......if u installnorton first macafee  wont even let u install itself.....sumthin about conflicts

Not only that, it also applies with firewalls. Once, I tried installing two firewalls and did you know what happened? me comp didn't boot. I reckon it's the conflict between the firewalls' functions. The same applies for the avs

It lets you install both I think it jus warns you  about that...cause all I was installing is a Mcafee Spyware scanner (NO VIRUS PROTECTION execept Norton) and Norton Thought the Spyware scanner was a Malicious Code

I'mO its kinda funny but why would you want both mc and nor installed one works for me McAfee :p

,meh I don't know why you would want both of the installed. kind of a bad idea sicne they both suck up soo may computer resources

they detect differnt viruses like mc might get a few that nor missed and nor might get some that mc missed

Exactly, and I have such fast comps that it would barely make a difference....I would jus not have Mcafee on Auto Protect And I would only Have Norton on auto protect!

Yes, Kaspersky :roxsox:


And there are many better spyware detection tools, such as spy sweeper & ad-aware.

I curently use Norton 2003 and Trojan Remover....Since Mcafee was giveing out retail Virus Scan 8 and There spyware scanner... I wanted to install it.....its retail and requirez no serial and 100% legal from McAfee

you really need to take one off they hate each other, it will make your system run as slow as heck and eventually crash your system! ^_^

not my system, and If it did, I would jus turn Mcafee auto protect off

and only nortons installed

If I install Mc and want to do some updates, all the updates are ok exept the virus definitions.
If don't do that update Mc works perfect. Install the definitions and MC got errors on Virus shield. :p

So I have no anti-virus on the other pc. No cheating now. :D

Norton is baaad. It let me get virus infested. now I have mcafee :)

I never had much of a problem with viruses to I got a vs. Probably due to the fact I got it with xp  :lol:

and
