For those of you who don't have any type of PC security I thought I might post this. Norton is letting people Beta test their new all in one product. It seems better than past Norton products and doesn't seem to slow my system down as much. Just wanted to throw it out there....

normal version you have to pay. and beta-testing is also not to my liking cause probably there are some virus which they have already detected yet are unable to solve them, so "Ignorance is bliss" thumbsup.gif

The workers at Best Buy and Circuit City have to endorse their sponsor's product, as far as I know.

I thought using 2 av's would conflict or something, or is that only firewalls?

They can interfeer, but it can be useful. Having two firewalls on at one time is hell, literally, i would know. If you have both mcafee and norton pick one, id personalyl pick mcafee. The best AV i think is freedom

Norton is definitely STILL A CPU HOG!

I mean damn, just the update function takes up 98% of my CPU. That is ridiculous!

Heres my advice to all of you out there. NEVER USE NORTON AV. With my half a years experience with it I was ready to start smashing my comptuer because it lagged like hell and I could sware they install viruses on your computer.

Kaspersky FTW. Been using it for over a year now, and I've tried other AVs such as Norton and McAfee. Far greater in comparison. Hourly updates, too. biggrin.gif
