I really hope this doesn't sound rude, but I was curious what you really did to them? I mean I can see a difference and all, but to me it just looks like you've perhaps changed the colour and upped the contrast and that's it. I'm a total newb to all this though, so I'm not very good at telling yet .

They look good, but honestly, this looks very basic... What did you do? Make a copy, blur it a tad, and set it to overlay? Put more effort into it

I love the manip of the second, the first one I don't really like the Terragen picture. Can the second manip be resized to fit my background?

IMO you made them look worse. I thought they looked fantastic in the beginning. This is why I don't like manips like this. People try to manip a picture that already looks fantastic. And the only thing you can do to a fantastic picture is make it look worse =/

As good as it may look to you, that isn't his work.

So ask him for the link to the person who made it, and use the original version.
