I went onto my dad's account and gave myself admin powers but when I tried to download some neopets cheats it said "You need to be an adminstrator to use this program". Any suggestions?

Take out your harddrive, put it in the microwave on full power for 5 minutes and it should work. dry.gif

Wait, doesn't that just make your computer super fast? Well I tried it with my speakers and they played music perfectly after being broken for like a year

I thought you only need admin powers to install something. Was the program from this site?

Ooh. Codex Checks. Uhh, are you sure you have admin powers? And can you install other software?

I think I can run other programs, and I am absolutely sure I have admin powers. It says administrator under my name.

Ok then I'm clueless. It doesn't make sense that you can install other programs but not this one. Sorry

I'm sorry, who are you related to again? I wasn't aware that any of codex's admins had children (besides pyke, and our lovechild currently resides with me, and couldn't type with his horns if he wanted to), nor would they allow their children to 'give' themselves admin perms.

What? You misread the topic methinks. She (sorry if I'm wrong) talked about going on her dads admin account (on the computer) to give herself admin powers so she can install Codex Checks but it didn't work o.0

Aaaah. I forgot some parents tried those stupid 'security' protocols that Windows comes with. I haven't even touched them. Everyone just uses the same account on mine, so the concept of not having admin access is foreign to me.
